Retired Justice Edwin Cameron on exposing the Thabo Bester escape story

Dr Nandipha Magudumana's father, Zolile Sekeleni, will no longer face charges of murder and arson related to the prison escape of convicted murderer and rapist Thabo Bester. The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) says it received new evidence that convinced it to drop the charges. However, Sekeleni will face charges of fraud and defeating the ends of justice for allegedly aiding and abetting in the escape.

If this man hadn’t leaked the information then Bester and his partner would still be free as birds. His leak has led to the exposure of incompetence and corruption in the department of corrections and the police. It’s something that the public needs to know. He is a hero.

One week have from one province then another use guys from another province! They’ll need to arrange accommodation for these officers but I’m sure they already do and if not, then so what!!! I mean it’s cheaper than what it cost to get Bester with all the agencies involved, private jets and the like!
