Retirement Adventures with the Morgan's | John X Safaris

Terry and Sharon Morgan returned for another adventure late last winter to once again enjoy our incredible scenery, diverse hunting and renowned unending laughs. These two avid African hunters have become part of the family and keep the entire team entertained for days on end.
They joined up with PH Ross "Stix" Hoole and Cameraman Pierre "Ozzie" Prins for an action packed week that saw us cover the Eastern Cape for everything from Kudu, Roan, Eland to Rhino Vita-Darting and much more.
With snow in the mountains and close encounters on foot, this truly was a safari of a lifetime.

Love your videos as always! Huge fan of them. One small request, if possible, please check your sound settings. I often watch your videos on my cell or Laptop. With my headphones in the commentary balance seems to favour the right. Something small but can be a bit off putting. Stay safe and keep giving it horns!

The fact that Southern Africa’s having a rhino poaching epidemic, especially in the national parks, and white rhino populations actually *decreased* by 12% within the last four years, and are continuing to decline, is hardly what you would call a “conservation miracle”. Meanwhile, India and Nepal’s own rhinos skyrocketed from 200 at the start of the twentieth century to around 4,000 and counting, plus zero poaching incidents in the Assam state, the species’ main stronghold, last year. Zero, and guess which countries banned rhino hunting, outright? 🤔

And how do you suggest we create a sustainable value? And the Rhino was not killed, but part of a Rhino Darting Experience. Yes funds were charged and raised to continue protection efforts. It does not come for free.

@@jackiekleynhans6335 and so do we care. We care just like you. While our strategy is different to yours we have the same goal at the end of the day. We are growing our wildlife and the land which they occur on and we’re trying very hard to see that prosper for generations to come. In 40 years we have gone from 1000 to 30000 acres of land dedicated to wildlife only. We went from 200 head of game to 4500 head of game being sustained through hunting. We are fighting for the same goal.

India and Nepal banned rhino hunting outright, and yet they’re currently doing much better at conserving their own rhinos than yours, and do I need to mention Chumlong Lemtongthai and his band of merry underaged Asian prostitutes? 🤔
