Retirement is not just about whether you can or can't work; neither is it about whether you love the job, part of it is replenishing the workplace. Make way for other people to grow in their careers. That's a great problem with university professors they never leaves and so you have tons of younger people that can't get tenured or earn a decent salary.

Great talk. Happy I travelled from 20-72, and I helped others. Rent and utilities take most of our retirement income, and Our saving can be reduced to nothing, like Zimbabwe, Argentina, Venezuela etc.

Was this in Ocala Florida? How do you find out when next one is being held?

Not at all helpful. Definitely not someone who has experienced the real world. I worked a job I hated for 40 years because it was what a female in the USA could do to make enough money to support ourselves and our family. The job required so many hours on top of juggling other responsibilities that there was no time to explore hobbies or interests or even what I liked about life. AND in my experience and the experience of those I know the employer absolutely determines when you get pushed out/retired. There is no way I'd go back to work, so those like me need other options.

I plan to retire or reduce my work hours in five years, and I'm interested in how others allocate their income between savings, spending, and investments. I currently earn about $175K annually but haven't built up much in savings so far

There are numerous strategies to achieve high yields during a financial crisis, but it is crucial to undertake such trades with the guidance and supervision of a professional financial advisor to ensure informed decision-making and risk management

That's true. I've been assisted by a financial advisor for almost a year now. I started with less than $200K, and I'm just $19,000 short of half a million in profit.

Nicole Anastasia Plumlee is the coach that guides, you probably might've come across her before I found her through a Newsweek report, she's quite known in her field, look-her up

You conveniently omitted to ask how many people you know, that died 1 year into retirement or before.

Face it, life after 75 sucks. Hip and knee replacements, pacemaker, hearing aids, glasses, scooters, rogain and viagra. They take all of the good parking spots. The boomers are going to have to deal with euthanasia as an option to being spoon fed applesauce for last few years of life.

That is not what I see. My neighbor is vibrant at 95. She walks a mile most days. May we all live long and prosper!🙋

What a bs. How many people like their jobs 5% ? Most jobs are BORING and you can not magically change it just by giving few examples.

Absolute rubbish. Age expectation has gone into decline in the USA.
