Yes it's legal employer can do retrenchment to any workman at any time without explanation. But there's is exception it can't be for illegal purposes.

सामान्यतः परिवार में यदि कोई सरकारी नौकरी में होता है तो ऐसी स्थिति में नियमों के अनुसार अनुकंपा नियुक्ति नहीं मिलती है किंतु जहां तक आपने कहा है कि बंटवारा हो चुका है और दोनों अलग-अलग रह रहे हैं ऐसी स्थिति में दावा किया जा सकता है लेकिन संभावना कम है
