great guide, one issue i have is when you are explaining the combo of selfless healer and wings at 7:30 it has to be used on a player other than yourself, but you are explaining it in a way to heal yourself and still get the buff somehow when it does not work like that. am i missing something here?

Hey guys, multi-glad Ret here! Just a quick race tip: Blood Elf is in my eyes the best due to Arcane Torrent! Not only does it silences for 2 seconds but also if used properly gives you a better uptime on your Wings, taking care of dispel potential. Couldn't recommend it enough!

Mastery isn't consistent because rets use more holy powers on wogs than templars.

I believe crit is better against spell cleaves where you might not have the most up time with verdicts, since mastery doesn't increase hammer of wrath, also crit helps out with wog

mastery is more damage yes, but crit gives so much more surivalbility through wog and since ur the killtrarget 99% of the time survivalbility is key

@@kimetrius9996 Yeah, I see that now since we are on the later cata patch crit is probably the better option. Back at original cata launch, if I recall correctly wog had no/virtually no cooldown and it was spammable as ret. Holy power also was generated much faster through abilities. We were also able to instantly cast radiance for extra healing with continued damage pressure and also sacred shield had a much lower ICD. I distinctly remember outhealing even holy paladins with wog spam in arena, and when it was nerfed that was around the time I quit. This version of paladin seems weaker to me compared to that

This is bogus. Mastery is the bis stat, not crit. What a waste..

Mastery makes 3 of your abilities do more damage to non armored targets. Crit makes everything do more damage to all targets and your heals are better.
