I have never been good enough at this game to be able to get stuff like this unfortunately. I barely know my rotation and I've been a ret paladin on-and-off since MoP. I even struggled with the Xuen fight for the legendary cloak back when, but I did eventually do it. Really want to jump back into DF this weekend maybe just make this transmog my main goal and see where I get. Could be a chance to learn my class proper. @@Koldstare_wow

I finally had no choice to put enchants and use consumables like you to finish this challenge, it was a bit hard but after some hours trying it's done ! I'm basically not a ret paladin player (main DH) but I finally understood the rotation and the mechanics of this challenge, it's similar everytime but the dps required is high and one mistake don't really forgive. Ty for the guide, i'm happy to have my paladin transmog ! :D

Great video. I had given up a while ago, it seems like it was much more difficult than it is today. I did it in two attempts. M+ Build, I didn't use any vials, flasks or potions (just ONE Health potion) just one Drums for Bloodlust. I feel like there was a nerf, because the last time I tested it was impressively harder.

wow what a difference doing this on pala, tried tank challenge, knockbacks fucked me into maximum tilt mode. holy pala challenge felt completely impossible with the cc and spot healing checks required. and then i watch this video and skim through the fight part and i one shot the ret pala challenge lol. GG

This guide is great! And it was uploaded at a really good time since there aren't many solid guides for this challenge in 10.1.7. Thank you for uploading! I completed this challenge an hour ago, and here are some more tips for anyone who is having trouble with it. This what has helped me PERSONALLY, so of course YMMV. It probably isn't the best optimized tactic in terms of damage output or class abilities, but I'm not an elite player and this is what worked in terms of my brain bandwith LOL! I'll just leave it here to indicate that a crusading strikes build can indeed be used to clear the fight, and it made it easier for me to process everything going on. SPEC: BYEAomTTpSA9oX6huYLb5nP3rDAAAQAgIUKtSSp0koIJpIJAAAAAAQKQSCJQCHQKRKkQapkoRCQIKFaBAA Spec notes: +++++( does not spend in devo aura and FOJ)+++++ +++++ You will be stuck in retri aura but I didn't find the damage was too bad compared to other tries with devo aura talented. +++++ This is a Crusading Strikes AA build, slower paced than TS and left me more brain bandwith to keep an eye on mechanics and timers. I finished the fight with 5396 dps, about 4min60sec total fight time. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TACTICS: - I used pre shield of vengeance before the pull, BOJ sygrin, interrupt the caster, stack on Jarl and blow all cooldowns BUT NO DRUMS OR POT. - keep them stacked by keeping runemaster interrupted, bring all 3 of them to jarl - try to stay stacked around the middle of the arena so you are never too far away from rune spawns *** keep in mind that puddles can make rings hard to see! and you need to run RIGHT OVER THEM or they won't disappear, so make sure to check for the little purple explosion when you run over them. - YOU WANT TO CLEAVE, CLEAVE, CLEAVE and then cleave some more! Jarl needs to die first but you can cleave off runemaster too, I generally ignored Sigryn outside of repentancing her. Blade of justice is your friend, it's got two charges, it's a cleave spell with a consecration dot so it will be your best friend, don't forget to use it! - Around the 2:00-3:00 mark Jarl should be low 20%s iirc so get him down asap (ignore runemaster normal interrupts if you need) you will still be cleaving Sigryn anyway. - I didn't need to use ST at all to burst through runemaster's shield, just target him and keep cleaving as normal. As long as they are all stacked, the cumulative damage should break the shield even if sometimes it can be a bit close depending on what cooldowns you got available to use. Cooldowns: just stack all paladin dps cooldowns on the pull, then use up these cooldowns agressively throughout the fight. The only exception would be if you know runemaster shield is coming up and you need spells during CSAA downtime. DRUMS AND POT: I used these regardless of whether or not I had strong cooldowns up, I just wanted the jarl burned down asap. ----- FIGHT START --- jarl berserker mechanic runemaster runes sigryn bof ---- USED DRUMS HERE --- (the next mechanic is the runemaster shield, followed by valkyr iirc so it's not very disruptive to dps since you don't need to move) ** if you are behind on the shield and it looks like you won't make it, well timed bubble CAN soak through both the valkyr and the spell, this allows you more time to cleave ** if you see jarl bladestorm in the stack, hammer that shit ** if sigryn is gonna cast BOF, repentance and keep cleaving through Hammer, Rebuke and Repentance tips: - Jarl: hammer his bladestorm, berserker can be hammered at the start too to save you from moving too earlier but otherwise just kite or use defensive like shield of veng. I ONLY USED HAMMER ON JARL, not the other two since this talent has no FOJ. - Sigryn: when the dbm countdown gets to 2 or 1, use repentance macro to target and effectively cc sygrin early into the blood of the father cast ((DO NOT START CASTING REP EARLIER)) - Runemaster: rebuke his casts to get him to group with rest on jarl, but make sure you got rebuke ready for his shield phase. THE SHIELD MUST BE VISUALLY GONE before you can interrupt his spell, otherwise it won't work! Defensives: - Shield of Vengeance should be used throughout the fight for damage mitigation, especially good against jarl when he's big mad but also used up by puddles. Damages the entire group when they're stacked. - Divine Protection and SOV EACH should be able to absord a chunk of the valkyr's damage, making it survivable if you are at high hp and need to deal with other mechanics / push damage. Blessing of Protection DOES NOT WORK AGAINST VALKYR. - I personally used Divine Shield when there were three things happening at the same time, a good example would be runemaster casting, but also valkyr and damage from jarl. I have wiped lots around the 3:00 to 4:00 mark because the mechanic stacking can get really mean so try and save your bubble if you can. GENERAL TIP for defensives: if you popped your drums and pot and are in your burst window, it's best to try and soak mechanics suchs as valkyr and jarl so you don't lose dps. SOV and DP should be used for these, ONLY use bubble if you MUST soak stuff like runecaster spell or rune explosions. *** I wouldn't recommend trying to soak through BOF at all, just stop whatever you are doing and interrupt even if you lose dps. Healing: I used flash of light (lights celerity makes it instant cast). No WOGging since that uses HP you need to pump damage. Didn't need to use LOH but remember you got it there for emergencies. Health potions are on a separate CD to dmg ones, so remember you can use that too. Horse cooldown: I used it to get to runes both times it came up early in the fight, and to get to far gaps in the valkyr. Later in the fight, if you try to stay most in the middle of the arena you shouldn't need to use horse as often, and I generally never ran out of horse CDs. Trinkets: ravaged seed pod (I macroed ravaged seed pod to avenging wrath) and beacon to the beyond ( best used when they're cleaved but also useful if you need to burst shield) Embellished items: undulating sporecloak and elemental lariat Potion: potion of prolonged power Flask: flask of the undertow Gear: I used 4 piece aberrus raid set with the garrosh heirloom wep (still sophic writ, so I don't know how the older enchants scale sorry). Didn't farm any special TW gear for it other than what I already had. Drums: feral hide drums Addons: dbm + weak aura for Sygrin (WA here wago.io/H0S9XkEC4 ) I hope this helps someone!

Something must have changed in 10.2 or I am much worst than I thought lol. I see comments everywhere I look about how it's so much easier now, but when I watch videos like yours I see damage that is far greater than mine. I'm going in with maxed versatility and mastery at ilvl 426. Using the consumables you mentioned and 2 good trinkets (heatbound medallion and verdant aspirant's badge of ferocity). I'm being very aggressive and keeping good flow of rotation, but my damage is simply lacking compared to most videos I see....5min into the fight and I'm maybe around 50% total. The health of the Jarl for you after about 1min is what I have him at around 3min+... The time it's taking is causing massive mechanic stacking so it becomes impossible to manage. Any idea what am I doing wrong?

First of all don’t beat yourself up too much because despite what people say this is a fairly difficult mage tower challenge (at least for ret). As far as the damage goes, I guess I’d just have to see the damage details to know what’s going wrong. One thing I will say is easy to forget about once the fight gets hectic is remembering to interrupt the caster to keep him in melee range so he’s not outside the cleave damage. But when I do this my damage approach is this: - keep them together as much as possible -nearly all holy charges go into divine storm -blade of justice / consecrate on cooldown Hopefully that helps some! Just look at your damage if you’re still wiping and try to figure out where it’s going wrong. Good luck friend!

I left early on my mage in Legion and payed the price by back then by having to do it again. just started working on the book. I got this, the tank challange" got aDH and Warrior" and then healer one left, played since mid BC and never used healerspec on any char at any time so I think I got some time ahead of me but no clue what one to go for

Yeah you’ll get a lot of different answers as far as which healer is the best one to do for the Soaring Spelltome mount. It comes down to what you’re more comfortable with, but the ones I’d recommend NOT doing it on would resto Druid, holy priest, and maybe even resto shaman. The hard part of the healer challenge is being able to do a decent amount of damage, so usually monks and Paladins are the best choice. Good luck!

I did it on resto shaman 2nd attempt. Definitely recommend resto shaman. Didnt use any consumables. I had full pvp gear

as soon as repentance lets up, the cast still goes off.... ? what's the deal? uppdate: the cast is 1.5 seconds and repentance is 1.3 second cast so i abandoned repent. I use my defensive on jarl. HoJ on Sigryn. Put all points into HoJ for faster CD and picked up blinding light instead as an RNG back up. this went waaaaay smoother, probably got it in 15 minutes whereas before i was banging my head against the wall for hours. I found out i was getting my repentance off at the same exact .1 of a second the cast was going off, so it looked like the cast was being interrupted, where in fact, it technically wasn't, so as soon as repent wore off, the cast would start. 10/10 would not recommend using repentance as long as it has a 1.3 second cast itself.

Dropping repent is fine! I’m a huge believer of being open to trying new talents and such if you’re struggling in a mage tower challenge. I personally like it and it just fits my play style, but adjusting to your play style is what matters! Also I think Taurens can drop repentance and use Warstomp.

I’m ilvl 480 and I can never break through the shield from ancestral spirit. I can survive the first with bubble but never that. Is there a damage gage how much is left

Sorry for the slow response; I find having something like wake of ashes available really helps. Might also be that the three bosses are too spread apart and aren’t being cleaved enough from consecration/divine storm. It can be hard to keep track of with how hectic this fight is, but if you see the he’s going to start his cast soon just Ty to hold on to a cooldown or on use trinket or something; hope that helps!

The trick to the bubble is it seems to not share the same hp pool that the 3 of them all have. I'm not totally sure on this but I've noticed from my own testing that while using cleave works fine if you're running out of time to use single target dps like final verdict and the bubble does pop faster doing that. That's what I had to do on my victory attempt on his last bubble to win.

Weird! Do you have any way of sharing a clip or anything? Should work just fine! If you happen to be a Tauren you can also use their Warstomp racial as an interrupt!

I having a problem of Rep not working but consecrate was breaking it instantly, but if she finishes the cast and breaks out she keeps pulsing it seems, which is obnoxious. i switched to the hammers and she doesnt break out now

Used a mythic + build Used seed trink Pots/food/stone Try to keep them near a rune spawn, cleave as long as possible HOJ bladestorm then rep blood asap Keep them stacked keep rebuking the seer Used blue pvp gear didn’t farm anything special finished I believe with 3.6k damage and killed bladestorm guy around 4:40-50ish about 22 attempts just learning the fight then 8 attempts after reading a guide on it. Yeah there’s a lot of damage to manage with this challenge. The Jarl throwing the axes around can really hurt. One thing that’s easy to forget about are the orbs of valor that heal you, so don’t forget about those! It’s an overwhelming fight when you first start, but just work on getting a little farther each time. You’ve got this!

Blood comes out too fast, gotta tab target my way to her. Gotta use divine prot on other abilities because they also come out too fast on top of eachother, heals despawn. Its just a bs encounter honestly. The tank one was much easier for druid.

Yeah it can be a brutal challenge, especially with the added RNG mechanics. You almost have to be casting repentance at the same time she starts casting blood or it’s too late. If you happen to play Tauren Warstomp’s a fast way to stop her cast.
