Fun fact the author made the super OP healing potion too early that he started making situations that you can't use easily or have some limitations. This is one of those times with Gobta and Hakurou not being able to be healed by full potions. There are other times like if you have a constitution of rejecting magic into your body, Too strong a body that the potion is rejected, and if an attack is embedded with art.

Kinda disappointed they didnt do the Light novel version of megiddo, he did it in waves and the first wave he realized they were dying too fast so starting the second wave he would "miss" occasionally and not kill them instantly so that he would create terror/panic across the army by having people screaming and have people get their limbs cut off...hes basically shooting plasma at them so when they are shot it cauterizes the wounds upon existing the body which left some poeple dead standing without people near to them realizing they were already dead

The wave thing actually has purpose, each one of those lasers are done by extreme calculations. You have to redirect the sunlight and lenses to each person after all. So Rimuru did it per wave as calculations are needed and re-summoning the water spirits (the water droplets and lenses) are also necessary. Even more hilarious is the soldiers tried to resist each wave and get killed. 1st wave (1000 dead) "use your barriers!" "we can't!" 2nd wave (1000 dead mages) "Raise your shields up" 3rd wave(1000 dead soldiers with shields) "use holy magic" 4th wave (1000 Templar knights dead) Eventually they all panicked and just did whatever like running, crying, and praying.

@@Angel_Rod except if you read the manga (idk if it's the LN as well) there is a bonus chapter where you can see a nice father of two girls who was forced to fight in order to earn enough money for his daughters (his wife was already dead) but Rimuru killed him in the process, his last words were to rimuru asking him to let his daughters live which rimuru answered that he didn't have the will nor the need to kill them. This guy then joined his wife while thinking that he could've told his daughters that god was not that tall (refering to Rimuru) ps: sry if it isn't clear, not a native english speaker so it's sometimes difficult to tell a story like this

Rimuru was actually sitting there in front of the dead for hours before Eren and her group arrived. If he hadn't replicated and put that mask on, his aura could have killed a lot of Tempest's citizens thanks to their weakened conditions because of the Holy Magic Barrier Prison Field used by the Temple Knights. ----- Note: the Fairy Tale told by Eren to Rimuru is the Elves of Thalion's version of those events so they are missing some key details (like the fates of Milim's parents) but for the most part it is accurate. The baby dragon that was killed was actually Milim's half-brother (and a potential reincarnation of her father) not her beloved pet, so her story is even more gut wrenching that she was forced to watch her brother be killed and then after his ressurection as the Chaos Dragon (who's essense by the way is the source of all Dragons who are not one of the True Dragons, similar to the way Charybdis was generated by a cloud of Veldora's magicules) was forced to seal him away. The fact that Eren (a cousin of the Emperor of Thalion) told an already extremely powerful individual like Rimuru how he could evolve further and gain the title of True Demon Lord could have drastic effects on the political scene. It's not an exaggeration to say it would be disastrous for Thalion if that information got out to the public. My love for Eren greatly increased when she would risk so much to save Shion and the 100 hobgoblins that were murdered. ------- What Rimuru did for Mjurann had more effects than just freeing her from Clayman's control but it also allowed her to retain her status as a Majin rather than reverting her to her former human self and therefore rapidly ageing (Mjurran regained her youth upon Clayman forcing her to undergo Majinization into a Demonoid) as Shizue did when she regained her humanity. ------ I love how everyone took accountability for their mistakes. It will make Tempest much stronger in the future. ------ Your love for Gabiru's simps never fails to amuse me. ------ I'm really glad the anime cut out the more sympathetic members of Falmuth's army, I really don't want to feel any sympathy for them. ------ The first time Benimaru uses the combination of Black Flame and Hazy-Style Swordsmanship and it is glorious. ------ Gabiru's coolest moment so far in the anime. ------ Note: The Otherworlder's weren't just guarding that road to kill any escaping monsters but also any escaping human merchants (like Mjöllmile) who could spread the truth of Falmuth and the Church's actions. Telling you this just to make you hate Falmuth and their Otherworlders more. ------ Gobta's equipment: -The *Coil Cannon Ice Lightning Sword* is a Unique-Grade Weapon. An enchanted short sword (Kodachi) with two magic gems in the hilt that was created for Gobta by Kurobe for his victory against Gabiru as promised by Rimuru. The sword had an enchantment in each gem: Icicle Lance and Black Lightning. -*Case Cannon* is an Unknown-Grade Weapon. The sheath of Gobta's sword also had a coiled wire and Magisteel lining the inside, and a replaceable projectile in the bottom. When energized with Black Lightning, it forces the projectile out like a rail gun. It is stated that Rimuru decreed that this is the only gun allowed to be created by Tempest, as he trusted only Gobta with such a powerful and revolutionary weapon. ------ Hakurou's third eye is called *Heavenly Eye*. I gave a description of it in another comment for this video. ------ Thanks to Kyoya's Thought Acceleration boosting his thought perception speed, for every 1 second of real-time, Kyoya experienced 300 seconds. The human brain can survive for 4 minutes without oxygen before permanent brain damage and death can occur as soon as 4 to 6 minutes later. . This means that when he got his head chopped off, Kyoya experienced 1,200 minutes or 20 hours in a matter of those 4 minutes before brain damage and anywhere from 40 to 60 hours before actual death. ------ Nuclear Strike Magic is a magic that relies on the creation and manipulation of Abyss Cores (incredibly dense balls of dark flames that are capable of interfering with spiritrons, the sub-atomic particles that make up magicules). When handled by humans it requires a large group of experienced casters to perform the spell in a ritual, and even then they can only perform the most basic spell of Nuclear Cannon. Some legendary champions such as Razen are capable of performing it solo so long as they have sufficient time to cast the spell or have it prepared in advance and high ranking Demons are known to be able to fire off nuclear magic spells in rapid succession even in the heat of battle. ------ Shogo's fate was the most deserved of all of the Otherworlders even if it allowed Razen, a high-level Majin and Archmage, to become even stronger with a much younger body to boot. The reason the destruction of Shogo's soul was so easy was because it had already been on the brink of death thanks to the damage inflicted on Shogo's Spiritual Body by Geld's Rot skill. ------ Razen is probably on par with freshly evolved Demon Lord Seeds but against Rimuru who has grown much stronger since he himself first became a Demon Lord Seed, he's a bug. The reason he thinks he can take on a Demon Lord is because humans generally don't understand the difference between a Seed and one who has undergone awakening. ------- Megiddo is by far my favorite spell even as of Volume 20 of the novels even if I'm looking forward to the crazy displays of Nuclear Strike Magic in the future.

the demon lord most humans know are Karrion, Frey, and Clayman (they are all demon lord seed) since they are the most recent demon lords that have done things they have been active for 300 years so most records will be about them. most awakened demon lords lay low or are too busy managing their territories. milim is an exception as she does whatever she wants at any time. As stated you can't measure awakened demon lords' strength if they don't show you anything so most humans assume they are all the same. Its like if you show Benimaru and Milim(and milim is holding waaayyy back) destroy a small town, you can't tell if they are both on the same level or if someone is weaker since the results are the same.

Another word for spiritrons is spiritual particle; another word for Heavenly Eye is Heaven's Gaze. Razen actually had to erase the contents of Shogo's brain, then overwrite it with his own memories before transferring his own soul into his body. Now somewhere in the books they make a point of the difference between Skills bound to the body, and those bound to other structures such as the physical, astral, or spiritual bodies. Those bound to the souls are the most powerful as well as most aligned with the person's nature, and most deeply integrated. Spearhead, the Knight's Skill, has two aspects. He can take the Skills of a limited number of people who die in his presence, and he can gather soldiers together. This guy is an Otherworlder, who I think has been there since medieval times.

Kyoya Tachibana's Skills: *Severer* is the Unique Skill of Kyoya Tachibana. It has the capability of producing invisible blades that utilizes space-element which can slice and dice through anything. The user can throw their blade created by the Unique Skill Severer which transforms into millions of tiny shards. Each one of those shards are too small to see but packing lethal force. Injuries sustained from this attack can't be healed normally with healing potion thanks to possessing Spatial nature. *All-Seeing Eye* is an ocular-type Extra Skill that is capable of providing the user with visual information beyond their eyes regular line of sight. The skill’s perspective can freely change in 360° and is described as “similar to a video game screen”. The skill directly beams sensory information into the ocular nerve, allowing for an increase in reaction time in critical situations. It’s powerful skill all on its own, but truly shines when combined with other skills such as Magic Sense and Thought Acceleration. *Thought Acceleration* is an Extra Skill and commonly used by the majority of the characters in the series. It significantly increases the user's thought processing speed. The acceleration varies from a few hundred times to millions of times depending on the individual. Kyoya's version increases his thought processing speed by 300 times. -------- Shogo Taguchi's Skills: *Berserker* was the Unique Skill of Shogo Taguchi that he obtained upon being summoned. Thanks to Shogo's previous lessons in martial arts combined with this skill, he was capable of killing 30 Sorcerers of Falmuth. Admittedly, he may have killed more without the aid of Razen. -Physical Attack Increase: The user's strength, speed, and other physical-based statistics are increased in power. -Death Benefit: The user gains more strength as more individuals die around them. -Diamond Body: Increases the physical durability of the user. It does not seem to be Physical Attack Nullification, but it may come with Physical Attack Resistance. But, it is weak to Natural Effects such as Rot. *Survivor* is a Unique Skill granted to Shogo Taguchi, due to the expense of Kirara Mizutani’s soul and his desire to live during his fight with Geld. Survivor is a useful skill for defense due to its powerful regenerative effects that even decapitation from a sword strike and smashes by someone with a superhuman strength would look futile. Razen, after getting hit by Megiddo's ray in the head, was brought back to life over time by Survivor. However, during Geld and Shogo Taguchi's battle, Geld's Rot bit its way through everything, damaging not only Shogo’s material body but his spiritual one as well. Even though Survivor was capable of regenerating all bodily systems, a life-form’s spiritual needs were beyond its feature set. -Ultraspeed Regeneration: It grants the user incredible regeneration properties at any time as long as a blow didn’t kill them instantly. -All Attributes Resistance: It grants the user resistance to all types of elements. -Pain Nullification: A Nullification type skill that completely negates the sensation of pain to the material body (just the Material Body, the Spiritual and Astral Bodies are still vulnerable). ------- Hakurou's Skills: *Thought Acceleration* is an Extra Skill and commonly used by the majority of the characters in the series. It significantly increases the user's thought processing speed. The acceleration varies from a few hundred times to millions of times depending on the individual. Hakurou's version (which he gained upon being named by Rimuru) increases his thought processing speed by 1,000 times his normal speed. *Battlewill* is a family of Arts that makes use of the Aura present in all living beings to perform powerful physical attacks and effects that resemble magic. Unlike magic, these techniques do not require any sort of chant and usually have little to no casting time. Examples of Battlewill include, but are not limited to; body and weapon strengthening, presence concealment, creating aura constructs, blocking an opponent's regenerative capabilities, and flight. -Modelwill: A fundamental technique that allows the user to create constructs out of their aura. They can also create bubbles able to encase objects, magic, or the effects of skills within. -Formhide: Allows the user to hide their presence and form. -Haze: Formhide pushed to its absolute limit. The Art works in stages: first you rid yourself of any sound, then wipe away any smell and disguise your temperature, before finally wiping away your aura and spirit. The end result makes the user undetectable even to things such as Magic Sense. The user slashes the opponent from underneath then immediately follows it up with a downward strike. -Flowing Water Slash: An advanced technique of the hazy style. The user parries their opponents attacks using their force against them and slashes them with a sword that flows like water down a stream. *Heavenly Eye* is an Extra Skill used by Hakurou. Heavenly Eye could be called a superior version of Observing Eye, offering the user incredibly powerful visual prowess to the point of making Magic Sense obsolete. It allows the user not only the ability to see Magicules and other spiritual matter, but also the ability to tell how much force is behind it, with its user even being able to distinguish the type of magic being used before its even activated. It's a skill that has the potential to surpass not only the performance level of a normal Extra Skill, but is even able to surpass the performance of most Unique Skills in the right hands.

Recognition requires either being recommended by two other Demon Lords (and voted upon), or challenging (and killing) another Demon Lord for his place. Calling yourself publicly a Demon Lord without doing one of those things will draw the wrath of the others down upon you. 32:27 Rimuru is putting himself in the appropriate frame of mind. He uses the word "esa" which means animal feed. 43:10 Shogo had discovered back in Falmuth when he accidentally killed someone in training that he somehow got stronger. This was an ordinary human; with Kirara, who had a Unique Skill herself, the power he gained was correspondingly larger. 47:38 Black mist is when Rimuru makes something bigger than himself. You've seen it several times before, just not so obviously. 50:11 The weakness of that spell is that once someone sees it, all that's necessary to counteract it is a cloudy day, or mist or smoke in the air.

*Physics Magic* refers to a newly created Magic by Rimuru's that has a purely physical output that is not interfered or maintained by magicules and therefore able to bypass any kind of anti-magic defenses. ------- *Megiddo* is Physics Magic created by Rimuru Tempest to gather ten thousand Souls for his Harvest Festival. This magic uses Spirit Magic to create small water droplets shaped by Water Elementals to create lenses that focus light into laser beams that are deadly to even someone like Folgen and Razen. Smaller water droplets are then used as mirrors to redirect the lasers toward the targets. This process is very energy efficient as the attack that ends up striking the target itself uses no Magicules, Natural Energy, or Spiritrons, and any anti-magic barriers are entirely useless against the beams. It can only be used at daytime. Scattering fine particles like dust or sand can impede or negate the attack. Rimuru gained the inspiration for this magic from Hinata's Disintegration Magic. The name of the Magic, "Megiddo," is the Hebrew word for Armageddon, as well as the name of a place in Israel called Tel Megiddo, which is the prophesized location of the final battle between good and evil. The sunlight power density is about 1400W/m2. To reach the power of industrial metal laser cutter i.e. around 5000W, the main lenses focusing sunlight need to be at least 3.57m2 in surface area or 2.14m in diameter, assuming no energy were lost. Therefore, the rendition in anime is somewhat accurate.

I must throw a wrench in the calculation unfortunately. Yes with 1361 W/m^2 its close to the 1400. however, this number refers to the solar constant at the edge of our atmosphere. It is the annual average. Because of the atmosphere, weather and clouds, dust, earths axis, earth’s spherical shape, etc., the actual daily average (assuming the earth is a circle, not a sphere) of solar energy reaching the surface is roughly only 165W/m^2

I could go into a few details about why I assume that, but I would be writing entire essays to explain why I think so. I think its good enough to assume that the author didnt exactly understand atmospheric physics. But it was good enough to bamboozle the average reader (who didnt have at least 1 semester in atmospheric physics/chemistry). Nobody is perfect, and after all, its a light novel, its not a book about physics. ;)

Kyouya’s ability makes time pass 300 times slower for him. The brain can live for around 3 minutes (180 seconds) without oxygen. Assuming his brain lives 3 minutes, exactly: 180*300=54,000 seconds = 900 minutes = 15 hours

I'm pretty sure Kyoya's ability slows time by 300 times. It appears that he is completely dead by the time Hakurou gets back to Geld, unless appearances are deceiving. So it doesn't look like he stayed alive for hours afterwards.

@@Angel_Rod I suggest you to at least read the manga chapter 65 ,65.5 and 66 for that (to see how rimuru made them suffer) . 65.5 is totally phenomenal (a chapter from a soldiers pov when rimuru killing them) sadly anime didn't adapted it cuz it was manga exclusive.
