it actually took Diablo a month as far as the manga is concerned, he had to wait for the natural flow of events to progress into a civil war within the kingdom of falmuth before he could act on the rest of his plan. even though he said 1 week, it was more like 1 month due to the indecision of the noble houses and eventual dissatisfaction of the people.

The anime didn't really explain what happened to those three prisoners of war, but Shion used her cook skill to basically turn them inside out and rearrange their limbs and organs into a living meatball. They can't die but they're in a lot of pain. When Shion did it to them, she said that she can forgive them for killing her and the others, but not for forcing Rimuru to slaughter thousands of humans and the pain and guilt that they forced Rimuru to feel.

For further explanation, her chef skill isn't only used on cooking. It has the ability to change the outcome of an action, this is why she can cook the way she did. It was named like this because she wanted to get very good at cooking, but it's technically a skill for combat strong enough to rival an Ultimate skill. Spoilers: Raphael(Ciel) in the light novel doesn't evolve her chef skill into an Ultimate skill because it's too strong and if she did it would be able to hurt Rimuru, threatening his life.

@@itspotatotimeofficial Spoilers: One of the few skills which can affect Ultimate Skill useres, like Yuuki's [Anti-Skill] in the web novels, you mean. Kind of, but every ability in his subordinates' arsenal he has as well, and he's immune to all of them. So I'm not sure why Ciel would say that. In his final form, this ability is rendered irrelevant anyway. The light novels have almost caught up to the web novels. Additionally, Zegion's [Illusion World] or Diablo's [World's End] should by that logic be a menace to him, too. Otherwise it doesn't make sense to me, since I believe Veldora's [Probability Manipulation] does only work on Raphael not Ciel. I can be wrong, or maybe it was never explained clearly.

Most likely it was an excuse not to give her an Ultimate skill because she is too irresponsible and if she got the so-called "Pinnacle of power" she would've used it way too carelessly and most likely could alter the natural flow of the world and destroy it. It wasn't explained in the light novels or maybe I didn't get to that part yet, but this would be a plausible explanation

A missing explanation about Shions Chef skill that might interest you: Her skill is most like the strongest non-ultimate skill that exists and is probably even stronger than some ultimate skills. The skill allows her to literally bend reality. Imagine Benimaru cutting someones arm off. If that person took one of Rimurus full-potions the arm would simply regrow. They basically get reset back to their default state. Now, if Shion cuts someones arm off, she can wish for that state to become the new "default". Thus making it impossible for the arm to get reattached by potions or healing magic. But thats not all. If wishes that the person continues to bleed from that wound without dying, that is exactly what happens. The person will continue to bleed and bleed without ever dying from that wound. Thats basically what she did with the prisoners. "I'm gonna chop them up and make them into paste, but I don't want them to die" and so it happened. And nobody besides shion can put them back together. Magic and potions won't do anything. As far as reality is concerned, this is a normally functioning "default" human even though we all know that no organs or anything will work in that state. Edit: Also, this infers that the "Words of the world" was only able to improve shions cooking by giving her a reality bending skill. Thats how bad her cooking is.

Well to my understanding it is mostly correct, but there are people that can undo the effect like Diablo (although it was not easy for him) or Rimuru since her Skill is integrated into Uriel Law Manipulation Spoiler for Anime only fans: Which btw, is one of many ways that shows that Rimuru himself does not know how strong h really is.... After his second fight with Hinata he called it close......but would he have made full use of at least one ultimate skill (besides Raphael which is neither defense nor offensive Skill ) he should have one with ez, since I am sure at least at that time Hinata has not reached the Ultimate level and so has no chance against him. Hinata later also came to that conclusion herself, even if she did not tell him that since she thought it is obvious.

@@ciphercircel16 True that. Btw, about the Hinata thing, Rimuru didn't have an Ultimate Skill yet. He received all of his Ultimate Skills either directly or indirectly (freeing veldora) through his transformation to True Demon Lord. And at that point, even without ultimate skills, he would have been strong enough to defeat Hinata. He got Beelzebub and Raphael through his evolution to True Demonlord. Veldora through freeing him from unlimited imprisonment and Uriel through the analysis of unlimited imprisonment.

Gazel actually used the "King's Haki" skill (YES. A LITERAL KING'S AURA) against Youm to make him exposed his true intentions by intimidation. But Youm seems to not be that affected and answered VERY honestly. So he approved of Youm being the new King.

One thing they mention casually but don’t make super clear in my opinion is there is the species Demon Lord and the title Demon Lord. Part of the confusion is they use them almost interchangeably. The species Demon Lord is a being that has absorbed so many souls that they evolve into one, which comes with a magnitude of a power boost. The title Demon Lord is one that belongs to the group The Ten Great Demon Lords.

A bit of Spoiler Alert !!!!! Her skill really is reality warping, and a powerful one. From the wiki : " Allows the user to overwrite the nature and fate of an object, being or even laws. Even if one tries to oppose the user, the user will just overwrite it with a stronger wish. This skill is given absolute priority and must achieve the desired effects of the user. Only those who possess a similar skill can oppose the user. Shion can use this to turn her horrible cooking into something tasty (though the food looks the same). " I personally find it very funny that she needed a Reality warping skill just to cook better, and her food still looks and feels bad, just the taste improved

He's a great character. However, I do wish the anime would have visually presented Rimuru's [Demon Lord's Ambition] at least as impressive as Gazel's [Hero King Aura], especially because he was second to show it. Rimuru is far more powerful than Gazel at this point after all.

@@officialnoonon One thing about the slime series is, Visual is not the actual representation of power. The anime show some of that pretty well so far. Notice when rimuru sense how much stronger Diablo has become after the naming but the visual presentation doesnt really tell about the power at all. Some of these power scaling might be better to understand in text (LN) form and a little ambiguous if we look at it from visual only because unless the character explicitly explain, we just dont know because we cant sense it directly lmao. Also i pick Diablo because while being ridiculously strong, his fights is so simple. Despite that the anime did very well imo in the sound department and somehow help explain the power level.

Not really a spoiler (backstory of some characters that will be relevant in far into the future seasons and interesting for the final episodes of season 2...): When Ramiris said she was strong enough that she was able to "sank Veldora with a single punch" (haha lol) she wasn't exactly exaggerating. In her adult form she's one of the highest instances in this world and for example helped Guy (pronounced Gee) calm down a raging Milim at her most powerful or at least close to that output. I don't remember the exact details. You will see what I mean once she creates her [Labyrinth] in season 3 or maybe the upcoming movie. A pre-Ultimate Skill [Faust] user Veldora would have had no chance at beating her. Gazel is a unit, alright, and supposed to be a "dwarf"
