While others have amazing arcades in their homes you actually opened it up to some kids who had no concept of what a real arcade was like. Not the redemption machines but 80's/90's classics. Well Done.

We must share the same brain. My childhood was going to arcades and playing these games. I'm also a huge Back to the Future fan and Star Wars fan. My favorite arcade game was Dragon's Lair. It was the reason I pursued animation as a career. Now I'm an Emmy Award Winning Animator and still wish I could go back in time like Marty Mcfly and relive those awesome days in the 80s. Great job, Jeremy!

Well done, Jeremy! The arcades of yesterday have moved to the basements of suburbia today. I've visited dozens of spaces like yours and behind every one of them is a dedicated arcade kid at heart. Share the joy, keep the games running, and enjoy the ride. It's the best combination of what makes life worthwhile. Game on!

i remember watching Tron 2 the part where the arcade is turned on after being off for so long...then they are playing Journey..that was nostalgia for us eighties ppl. This here reminds me of that although I was a kid in the eighties I remember the malls and the arcades..What a better time it was..things where more peaceful back then as a kid.

I know you are proud and I agree, nothing like seeing the faces on the kids. Our generation lived for a few hours in an arcade and a roll of quarters. You can have all the games on one machine now with a chip or great home systems, but nothing will match the feeling of walking into a good arcade, my heart would skip a beat every time I powered up the fuse box at your place.

I like what you said about opening your arcade free of charge. I guess it's the same reason that I pet sit for a minimal cost. I watch animals because I love them, but I do so with a small fee to offset business expenses. I travel to others' homes in my city to watch their cats/ dogs. After a time, their pets feel like my own, and I love them just the same. Nice video about your passion, Jeremy.

I know that's living. It is a blessing; what we had in the 80s can now had at home. Kids these days will never experience what we did during those days. In New York we had Playland Times square and one on Staten Island by South Beach both are gone now.

this is a true dream of mine to make a home arcade with vintage arcade games, of course my electric bill would skyrocket.
@MrJimbofox8 жыл бұрын
Common misconception. Arcade games don't really draw that many amps at all. Average of 2-3 amps per cabinet. I own 28 games and my electric bill has barely changed.
@thebasementarcade8 жыл бұрын
1.5 amps for most classics. I put a kill-a-watt meter on them.

28 machines? How much do they usually cost? 10,000?
