I always wondered how this game ended. I used to play it when I was a small boy at the arcade up the local mall in the early 80's. Thank you.

My favorite arcade game of all time!! As a child in the 1980's, I played it for hours with my allowance.
@bakerfresh Жыл бұрын
Haha, my allowance was like...a buck. Never beat an arcade game. Loved them, but it was unthinkable for me. Okay, maybe 2 bucks, 3 tops. But, when a buck could get you a soda, popsicle and candy...yeah, waiting it all would be...a LONG walk home.

Played the arcade version at the local convenience store as a kid in the '80s. Indy's line, "we walk from here," was burned into my memory. Suddenly thought of it and had to hear it again. Thanks!

I quite enjoyed the NES version of this game too. This game does look so much better though! The environments are crazy for 1985

I think Konami is one of the first Japanese companies to use the Motorola 68000 but the graphics and sound hardware weren't as impressive as this.

You can run back and forth at the start of the rope bridge level and clear out the thugee guards by whipping them off the bridge. Then all you have to worry about is Mola Ram's flaming heart attack.

As a pro in the arcades back in my youth I can honestly say you are the slowest cart driver ever. We used to steam through the cart sections and rarely die. This game Gauntlet, Kung Fu Master and Return of the Jedi were so epic.
@Schush10 жыл бұрын
The point of the mine cart level is not to run through it as fast as you can, but to whip EVERY Thuggee guard for maximum points.

10 years later, and welcome to your 40's! I too used to play this game after school at 7-11. Think I played the 1 credit / hard mode. Rescue all the kids, try to whip everyone from the mine cart. My goal was to get one million points. Eventually did it. Maybe 14 years old.

i just remember the NES version which was a crappy version of this, this version is pretty good for a game of that time, Spielberg was a big fan of arcade games, he must have requested a good game after the shitty atari raiders game
@Duke_Togo_G139 жыл бұрын
Raiders was not a shitty game. It was an adventure game that was hard to complete like Swordquest. Also you had to use 2 controllers one a one player game which was unique at the time. ET was a shitty game. I grew up playing those games and ET and Pac Man sucked. You must be young.
