I managed an anime shop in the 2000s so I'm about 15 years out of the game, but: an issue we always had then with statues was really fragile parts breaking during transit. You'd order in some statue in a cool battle pose, and when you opened it, parts of the hair or the explosion flair or whatever would be broken off. It was always a thing you could fix, but who wants to buy a thing and then have to fix it, you know? That's what always kept me from jumping in. Maybe packaging has improved since then, because the ones in this video looked pretty clean and nice.

A lot of the reviews I see on KZbin will usually have something broken when it arrives. I'm not sure I could handle that for the amount most of that stuff costs.

Statues are certainly eye catching but I can’t say I ever thought about investing in one. It’s just a thing that takes up space in your home eventually.

Some of them are really impressive, but yeah. You'd need to invest in some decent glass cases, and I feel like it would be a slippery slope from there

I’m not a figure or statue collector, but this video has me thinking I could fit one or two on my game shelf…

You can do it. I believe in you

Nice video tour. I prefer figures. Statues take up too much room, usually much more expensive, and generally seem much more fragile to me.

Yeah I feel like you gotta really invest in glass cases along with them. That's a chunk of change
