For those worried about electric bikes' range, etc. I've got both a petrol powered motorbike and have had an electric car for over 2 years. Initially recharging the car was a cause of much anxiety - both finding a rapid charge point and then making sure it worked and then downloading a host of apps for all the different suppliers - but it is definitely getting better, and, battery costs have declined massively over the last decade. The main problem for motorbikes is that they can't carry large batteries, but, as the energy density of batteries increases, this should become less of an issue. Electric car prices are expected to match ICE prices for similar vehicles in a couple of years so hopefully motorcycles won't be too far behind.

Never rode electric, but I like the idea. As long as they are stylish and good to ride. I'd miss an exhaust half the time, but the other half having no sound would be a bonus (leaving the house early or late, being in campsites and riding through woodland). I tried the maeving at the NEC and loved the look of it! If it was fractionally bigger with a longer range and 70mph top speed it would be great!

A kickstarter, rear drum brakes, and traditional carb is what,s missing on new retros . That,s why many of us old school bikers don,t move on after the demise of Kawasakis W650. My own W650s el starter is used as backup only, such as for an idle stall in traffic.

The drawback for me is range. Once the prices come down (Zero's and Energicas are expensive) and they can guarantee around 175km I will take the plunge. The Maeving looks nice, kinda reminds me of a CCM. Would probably be a good city commuter

I have had a Kollter Banshee electric motorcycle for 6 months now. I ride it daily in traffic... IN SOUTH FLORIDA, and have few complaints. $6K out the door. Most people think it is just a dirt bike...

@@RoadRashTV after selling my R6 back to my motorcycle dealer. I haven't ridden in years while my old bikes are haven't been run in years. I sold my 84 gpz750turbo to a dealer who also collects bikes and a Ninja 1000 to a private party. Someday in the future I'll purchase a bike to ride.

Part of owning a motorcycle is the sound and all the moving parts. I have no interest in an electric bike unless it is purely about the function of just moving to get from A to B on a device that sounds like kitchen appliance. Motorcycling for me is about the journey getting there, not the A or B so much. By the way if you don’t buy them and keep buying the petrol ones they may not be so inevitable at all.

I would buy an electric bike if they were affordable and had a decent range on the battery. I live a fare way out of town. I use my Royal Enfield 500 for going to work and can do three and a half trips on a full tank. I'd want to get to work and back at least on an electric bike. In conclusion, I'd only buy one if I couldn't ride a real combustion engine one. I'm not sure electric vehicles are going to be a sustainable form of transport anyway. Might have to go back to the human powered bike, or horse.

Electric Motorcycles are a necessary evil, but they will never match the range of petrol bikes. Just around the time you get into the groove of a ride you have to stop to recharge.

Electric vehicles will be a disaster obviously + the plan to control all vehicles by satalire to , 1 or 2 maybe but all cars etc on road? Moronic , flat cars everywhere every day , nope I want a proper bike , not a cell phone with two wheels
