I would disagree with the guy who made the video, the music in 2011 version is good, but not great, it ain't that special outside combat or battles. Meanwhile the 99 version may not have the best Ost's for battle, every other scene with it's music feels kinda magical. it really makes you feel the vibes of the scenes. 99 ost is as good (if not better) than 2011 ost.

Also, the Feitan bit is just to show that the language they mainly speak in HxH comes second to Feitan. That’s like making fun of a foreigner learning English…. It’s a part of his character.

I think Feitan native language is Chinese that is why he is struggling with Japanese.

Yeah i was actually surprised when first watching the 2011 and 1999 version with English subtitles since as a kid i watched it with subtitles in my native language. Which portrai it a bit better
