I purchased one of these platinum editions and I'd say the only thing that nobody has said in any review that I'd like to tell everyone about is the larger the TV the bigger the delay on the light gun. That's literally my only complaint. I paid a fair price for a great system and I had 0 access to old roms so with what old stuff it plays I'm definitely happy with everything.

@@kamenriderman I'm not exactly sure what that is. Could you let me know? I found as an update that if you put the sensors closer together instead of our ridge of TV it takes quite a bit of delay off. I actually put both sensors roughly eight inches in on both sides and it works better.

You should be able to quiet the recoil spring by putting a piece of soft polyurethane foam inside of it. This is an old trick that guitar players use to quiet the springs of their Floyd Rose tremolo systems.

Wish it had a chipset that could handle 3D better. Plenty of equitable chips in the cost range. Dreamcast as example should play smooth. Would have bought it.

I been waiting years for a light gun plug and play. Since I already have a old Pandora's Box 8 and a Super Console X. It would be awesome if they did a version of Rail Shooter games only and add a lot more light gun games like CarnEvil, House Of The Dead 1 and H.O.T.D. Overkill.

I do like the idea of this, but as someone who owns a lot of the console versions of these light gun games and the guns themselves, the input lag is just enough to put me off considering this thing. That is just far too much lag in-between shots

how do you get to the settings? it says c button for help, but there is no c button on the gun, ps controller, or nes controller. i cant calibrate the gun or turn on cross hairs because no-one tells you how to get into settings. thought maybe i could find out here. but FAIL. have to email the company and ask them how to get to settings....

You can see when moving you see curious has a small delay. This is always the problem with 1 or 2 sensors ? Gun4ir does use 4 sensors in the end. Question remains how accuracy you want to have in end for the money we can't complain. For the money for this kit we can't even buy one gun4ir I think 🙄

@@WickedGamerCollector yeah i noticed the delay but its a video so can be misleading. Thx for confirming. Latency moving the cross hair has nothing to do with number of sensors. Its either the screen refresh rate or software (graphical) induced. And recoil can be disabled?

The guns seem great, but the emulation box is crap. How do the guns work when plugged into a PC? It would be great to see how they work in Mane and with the Model 2, Model 3 and Teknoparrot emus. I'm thinking of picking up just the guns but can't find much info about pc compatibility.

If you have a 2 player game case and want to swap main board you can do that indeed. Double check if the board will fit some have one bit hole some have only connection cut out.

Great review. I just got mine a few days ago and I love it. Question for you. did you check and test your red gun? Mine has a perceptible delay when pulling the trigger and getting the recoil function. I’ve emailed them to see if they can change my gun, and hopefully they will. But just wondering if others are experiencing this as well. Otherwise great product and honestly for the casual gamer looking to take a trip down memory lane every once in a while with light gun games this is a no-brainer.

@@WickedGamerCollector thanks for the follow up. My blue gun works great near instantaneous recoil. The red gun, however, is delayed enough that it’s unsettling so I just disconnect the recoil when playing two player with that one. Kind of defeats the purpose. And just like you, I turned the crosshairs on on many games. The way these guns work, there’s a delay from where you shoot and where perceives so games like duck hunt and clay pigeon are near impossible to play. But again, if you put the crosshairs on most games, like operation wolf, Terminator two, etc. are very fun to play and honestly after all these years, it’s great to be able to play these games at home for under $300

That is one weird problem. Try differen HDMI port... HDMI Cable ? Hold tiny setting buttons to swap resolutions maybe it also resets the audio ?

I'm enjoying my retro shooter thoroughly. In spite of crappy reviews, I think it's great! It stays calibrated on my 46" Vizio. Problem though. It reloads off screen automatically! Anyone else notice this? I aim offscreen and it reloads...sometimes twice! Can you disable this?
