My family used to live 10 minutes from Geauga Lake and my brother and I had season passes. We would go almost daily to Geauga Lake during the height of the 2000s and ride the Superman, Night Flight, Villain, Wolf Bob's, Big Dipper and Double Loop daily.

1978 when I was 13 was my first year there and my family went there every summer after that until graduation in '83. After that I graduated to Cedar Point road trips with friends. 2004 was the last time I was there and got stuck at the top of the hill on X-Flight during the last ride of the night. The train in the station was having restraint issues.

I rode this when I was 15 in 2000, and is my number 1 ride. Rode it in different names Superman Ultimate Escape from 2000 to 2003, Steel Venom in 2004, Possessed in 2012, and 2013.

I love this ride! It's currently only about 10 minutes from my house at Dorney Park. It's one of my most-ridden coasters.

I had so many memories at Geauga Lake, rode my first roller coasters (Wood - Big Dipper, Steel - Mind Eraser), my first REAL kiss by Turtle Beach lol, It's so abandoned, the Big Dipper is still standing rotting away SMH.

rollercoasterfan2000 I love both but Intamin makes very unique rides such as Falcons Fury, also they make some of the greatest launched coasters... The problem with wonderland for me is that they lack good launched rides cuz the only one that they have is the stunt coaster which is a duplicate... And one day that i went the line up for the stunt coaster was longer than Leviathan...

Not exactly. This is closer of a replica to Vertical Velocity at Six Flags Great America than the Vertical Velocity at Discovery Kingdom. This one and the one at SFGAm have a vertical spiral tower, and the one at SFDK has an angled spiral tower.

There is barely any force on the track at that point. The engineers at Intamin are industrial engineers, and they know what the steel can take and the forces involved. They know what they are doing, and know that it is safe.

I know, and my first impression was like that, too. But if you know how physics and force diagrams work, then you don't need to have huge support systems on a long vertical section of track. A lot of coasters don't have supports for a huge section of their first hill for this reason, but have a lot of them close to the ground.

Nobody would allow people to ride a roller coaster that is not safe, and statistics show that. You're more likely to get hurt in the parking lot of a amusement park than on any of the roller coasters in it.

It was actually pretty fun, I rode it for the first time in 2004(I was 10). Back in the day Intamin impulse coasters were actually pretty exciting

The best part is the quick brakes on the vertical part in the back. It gives you a 1/4 second of weightlessness and is worth it!

I'm tired of you Cedar fucking Point fanboys. Where the fuck do I even start. First of all, this coaster was built 10+ years before Wicked Twister, so if anything, it is a copy of this. Second of all, they are all built by the same company, Intamin. To say that this is a copy, you are also saying that Vertical Velocity, Steel Venom, Possessed (which is technically this coaster anyway), and any other Intamin Impulse coaster is a copy. Lastly, Wicked Twister is the most different out of any other coaster of this type because it's the tallest, fastest, and it has two spiral towers instead of just one. So please, next time, shut the fuck up and stop talking about shit you don't know, because someone like me might come along and put you in your place again.

Douglas. This roller coaster was designed by Intamin based on the concept of a considered to be prototype, Linear Gale built by the same company in 1998. This one was built at Geauga Lake known as Six Flags Ohio at that point in 2000, 2 years before Wicked Twister was even considered. After this roller coaster was built, the following year, 3 more of this exact same roller coaster, the 2 Vertical Velocitys and Screaming Condor were all built in 2001, AND THEN Wicked Twister in 2002. The last of this type, Steel Venom was built in 2003.
