Yes but for stuff like ressurection and mushi there is no reason to use it since they are so easy to get

so fbneo comes closer to what mame can do awesome edit i j7st googled the whole cv1000 library & they all work on mame except akai katana but that has nothing to do with mame as a software but mame as a team

New games are added regularily. On a sidenote both emulators have different goals and FBNeo is actually doing better in a few areas.

So I tried the latest romset and I have the latest fbn core and the appropriate dat file on retroarch, but I keep getting "romset is unknown" error. Is there any guide for the cv1000 games on android retroarch?

if youre trying to make a playlist you have to use the fbneo program on windows not retroarch to generate a dat file

After testing all the shmups (atleast the initial levels) on Retroarch Android (Moto G40 Fusion, 4GB, Snapdragon 732G, Adreno 618); I am happy to report that all of them ran at 60fps with no audio issues. Mushihimesama had issues with graphics. Thanks to the devs for their hard work. On the side note, can someone tell me what kind of audio i.e. music (sample rate,channels etc) these games use. I remember Mushihimesama that I purchased from Steam had way better sounding music.

How do you get it on android, I'm stuck on version 1.9.12 and can't download 1.10. When i auto update it says i'm up to date? Using the 64 bit version of retroarch on android

good to know. On raspberry (pi4 oc), mame2015 work very well with the cave shmup (Mushihimesama and dodonpachi espacially, even death smile 1) but fbneo have poor performances on most of them (except the dodonpachi which run perfectly other are not really playable).

Tested on a nvidia shield : most are not playable, except mushihimesama. Hope eventually the others will be playable on those android devices after another update ..

Shield is way too weak for the games unfortunately. They work flawlessly on my Snap 855, and Snap 865+ (i can eve shove off extra 6 ms of delay here).

Those games run natively with 32-bits colors and earlier FBNeo version would only show a black screen if 32-bit colors support was missing from your device, maybe you disabled 32-bit colors in core option, or maybe your device is simply not compatible ? Latest version should be "ok" even with 16/24 bits colors, but i'd still recommend you run FBNeo with 32-bits color if you can, many games won't render properly without it.
