I love it! In starfleet, captains do not act like Solano does. He is too concerned about his career, his image, and his standing in the fleet. If I were his first officer, I would request transfer to a ship with a more capable commanding officer. Someone who is willing to take risks and to lead by example. In the words of Captain Kirk, "Risk is our business" -

I think this describes many Starfleet captains as well. Think of Captain (later Admiral Pressman) from TNG's "The Pegasus" who like Solano put his ship and crew on a scientific mission that turned very badly for the sake of his career in Starfleet. Riker remained loyal to Pressman until the end of the mission, helping him to escape while the rest of his officers were starting a mutiny. As you'd see later in this game, Rydek chose a different path once she realized who the real Sodano is and to what he is transforming.

23:23 Funnily enough, the Q Continuum trilogy of novels established that it was a cosmic entity named 0 (who was released eons ago by our Q) that destroyed the TKon Empire (by destabilizing their home star). They even had a plausible way to teleport away their star and bring in a new one in its place, had 0 not sped up the destabilization from months to minutes. It was a very good read and even brought in a few cosmic beings from the TOS era.

0:36 Good to see Dr Duval participates in this away mission. I think she's one of the star of the game series, both for her medical and counseling capabilities. And her voice reminds me of Penny Johnson Jerald (Cassidy Yates in DS9, Dr Claire Finn in "The Orville).
