Tomb Raider, the first one, was a game that I always dreamed of: A game where you're able to have a big world to explore. It wasn't exactly a total sandbox, but it was close. As for the figure, I want to get one for my collection someday. I'm currently collecting the comic series from Top Cow comics.

Well the braid was actually intended to appear since the first game but they couldn't do it because of techonological limitations or engine limitations i think, you can still see them in the first game on the cutscenes btw Leaving that aside this figure it's amazing and yeah i wonder why there's not a lot of Romb Raiders collectables

I have that statue of her with the wetsuit. But in terms of her classic outfit from TR1, there was never an exact depiction.

Same here, I bought Tomb Raider with my Playstation 1, game was in german! This is the best Tomb Raider in Tomb Raider history, where you you could find the real riddles to solve, it was so nice to explore every new level. The end of the game with aliens is not so nice for me, but the rest is just great! The latest Tomb Raiders, are so bad when you compare them to first one, now they are full of firearms, run trough button press no brainer events, not fun to play at all. For me new Tomb Rainders are a wasted time worth nothing, should be for free as the happy meal addons in mc donalds. There is nothing there what I could name "the adventure" There is no adventure in lastes Tomb Raiders, only good graphic with poor history.

I always consider Tomb Raider a bit of a knock off of Duke Nuk'em since both games were pretty popular. heck, of the duke games had a feature where Duke was on the pay phone and hear a female moaning and he was saying "Laura, Is that you?" I think the game was Duke Nukem time to kill.

I love the first 3 Tomb Raider titles! After that the series tanked for me until Tomb Raider Legends won me back over. I thought the remake and then Underworld were good too. While I like the gameplay in modern Tomb Raider I feel they've betrayed the original spirit by adding profanity. I don't care for the movies.

The lack of merchandise depicting Laura's original appearance reminds me of my frustration with merch for Batman 89 and Batman Returns. All the 89 Batman action figures did not have a movie accurate chest logo. And the action figures for Batman Returns were even worse. Only an oversized figure depicted the new art deco style armor of Batman's costume in 1992. As a kid this drove me nuts.

@@RetroDaze And in 1992, Kenner would release/reuse the Super Powers sculpt of the Penguin. However, this time Cobblepot was given a black tuxedo. I was never sure if Kenner felt Danny Devito's Penguin was too grotesque for kids or if they were just too cheap to make a new sculpt? Either way, there seemed to be a running trend to use the Super Powers sculpts, and slapping on a black deco.

Lara was always meant to have a braid actually they removed the braid due to polygon limitations and it would always glitch out but the braid remains in the FMV cutscenes
