Tokmoc isn't a fan. It's a fairly large Chinese company that manufactures third-party "Lego" sets, using copies of actual Lego parts, sans Lego branding. It would be next-to-impossible for a fa to manufacture a set an 1/8th the size of this temple set.

Thx for this video and your previous Crusade Tank vid. Great stuff. I'm doing this now. As a big Indy Lego collector I'm filling in the gaps (Map Room from Raiders -got a custom Indy figure with Staff of Ra printed element and Rope Bridge from Doom using a Lego Ninjago Master Falls bridge as the sketch model to moc and mod). Just completed the Hatay tank using a knock off brand (not the TMS one) but another unknown brand and moded almost the whole thing. Cobbled together 8 figures even 3 grail guardians with rifles. I bought the Grail one you've reviewed here but haven't built it yet. Still for Crusade I'm planning on the opening scene train with the magic caboose, snake car, and lion car (this will take long to put together properly). Working on Dial of Destiny moc's right now (first off building right now the chase with Nazi staff car and two motorcycles with side cars). Lego did none as you know, which is what I thought was their marketing plan. Having those initial redo 'nostalgia' kits, then do a full line for Dial. On a side note, what I know having done a marketing thing in person with Lego reps in NYC, is that they set a price point before they build. About 99% of what they do is this way. There is always designers doing sketch models on their own and some do make it through. But building to a price point is set from the beginning on any project. So they set that $150 Temple set which is why it's the best one, most pieces, biggest budget for that line. Then two $35 to $40 sets and the $80 - $100 kit was the Temple of Doom redo. Lego was a coward to pull that set. Even the actor who played Mola Ram loved the role and was proud of the movie. So I don't know what pressure Lego got and from whom. So why they didn't do others you suggested is that they used up their larger budget on the $150 Temple of the Golden Idol. Still don't know why they didn't do at least a couple of Dial of Destiny sets. Easily a small Tuk-tuk chase, finding Archimedes Tomb would've had some fun play features (but might reveal too much from the movie?), and even the under water scene finding the Grafikos and eels - another with some fun play features Lego could've done. Planning on moc'ing those too. Cheers for your Indy vids...:)

So cool they did it in the style of the Raiders set! Cool that you actually took off the globe because in real life it’s only about half there.(We were there in 2019 and the guide was saying that it was shot at by the bedouins for ages due to the belief of it being filled with gold coins.💥🤩)Would be amazing if Tocmoc did a bunch of Temple of Doom sets just to rub it in LEGO’s eye.

In regards to the floor blade, the clue that alerted indy was to "kneel before god" if a non Christian (specifically Muslim) were to figure this out they would have bowed and their head would be lobbed off by the floor blade. Indy could have thought of something like that and rolled in response. That's always been my rationale of the scene anyway

Just for clarification: I don't believe TokMoc designed this. Its very common practice that these designs are taken from Re-Brickable and other lego fan sites and are simply released without the original creators consent.

I searched Rebrickable beforehand and didn't see anything like this. Show me the evidence. I'll accept it if you find it. But speculation without proof is only intended to sow doubt and cause trouble. The toy culture is too prone to this sh*t. Don't do it.

The second blade coming up for the first challenge actually makes does sense. I heard it from someone on TikTok & I'll try to explain it the best I can. So for Christianity you basically would kneel before God, but other religions might not kneel before their gods, they might bow. So if you were in the first crusade & set these traps up & would want someone who has true faith in Christianity that second blade makes a lil sense, so if someone who wasn't that went in & bowed instead of kneeling would still get their head chopped off. It's plausible now but wow Indy really knew that was gonna happen? Suspension of disbelief, gotta remind myself.

Figure LEGO doesn’t want to touch Grail Temple because of the religious connotations that some people may find offensive. Remember when LEGO Star Wars set 9516 Jabba’s Palace came out and there was controversy on how the big round building was “offensive” to muslims, if I remember right. That’s why the palace set based on Book of Boba Fett didn’t have the top part of the big round building, so the build itself doesn’t look complete.

I'd be weary of these companies releasing these custom sets using knock-off Lego pieces. There's a decent chance that this is simply a MOC lifted from the original creator without their permission, given no credit and given no cut from the sales of the sets. This thing is commonplace in the KO Lego Star Wars sphere. When possible, always buy the instructions from the designers and use real Lego pieces. You'll be supporting them directly, and guaranteeing that your build will last.
