Oh so beautiful and natural. I love them. I have a wand made from applewood my husband made for me and it's just a simple branch with the bark removed and sanded smooth and he glued a small crystal into the tip. It's a very natural shape and beautiful. 🍎🌳🪄It looks rather like the last wand you displayed at the end of your video. Thanks for the lovely video.💜💙💜💙

For some strange reason, I’ve been walking around lately,noticing fallen branches and imagining them as wands. I’ve never made a wand in my life, but of course I did a search in KZbin and saw your video. I enjoyed watching this. Very calming and inspiring.

Forest magic is very much my aesthetic! I tuned a big, twisted, gnarly fallen tree branch into a witchy staff. It doubles as a walking cane when my leg pains/vertigo act up. Currently carving runes and whimsical shapes into it as the fancy strikes me (the wood is very old and hard so I have to use a dremel but it's getting pretty good I think). I got some quartz crystal moons and gold wire I might try to integrate as well. If I go for a walk without my little dog (she is 1000% my familiar and I wish I could take her everywhere with me) I often bring her home a stick to gnaw on, so I might try making a wand one of these days...

This is why I was meant to subscribe to your channel. In case anyone wants an easy way to remember how long your wand should be, just the same length of your forearm (inc the hand) and it should be fine. I have made wands in the past and I prefer them being wood rather than the replica wands that are made from resin. My 7 year old nephew is so into making wands from wood, obviously my influence has helped somewhat. Back to this though, I am so glad you posted this, I forgot how much fun I used to have, so I have been inspired to go out and get some fallen branches to whittle.
@RetroGeekCrafts2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much 😊😊 That's a great tip for the wand length, I had no idea! I'm so happy to read you have such a positive influence on your nephew ❤️ I hope you can both find some branches and make wands!

I'm carving my first wand from a very old sea fishing rod.... well.... I cut off the long wooden handle.😅 I don't even have the right tools and I don't even know what type of wood it is... it is not that heavy but it is extremely hard. I'm using different sizes of chisels to get the rough shape. I specially bought them to start this hobby. And for the finer shapes I'm gonna use small files and maybe even my dremel and for the finishing I'm gonna use sandpaper. I hope I get the job done with those few tools. Mine is gonna look like my wand in Hogwarts Legacy... natural grey😎
