Just picked one up on Ebay for £200! I'm over the moon. I wanted the black, but it's the GameCube colour, which is really nice too. How's PS2 emulation? Great content btw. You are a mix of ETA Prime and Ashens, very watchable mate 🙂

Thanks for all the videos. I won't lie that I'm still pretty suspicious regarding the lack of bluetooth input delay testing, and suspect it's as bad on the RP5 as it was on the RP3+. Not one reviewer who received their unit early has put out a video doing extensive testing on it which I find absolutely baffling. Still looking forward to such a video from you perhaps!

Since Hogwarts Legacy is available on Switch, do you think RP5 will be able to run it as well? I think it's the most complex switch game, and i would like to see if it even nearly possible to play, hah. Also, can you pair external bluetooth controllers like Dualsense to RP5? Thank you! Thank you for the kind words! I can give it a try for you but I doubt it'll work unfortunately. I recently tried to get the Witcher running but it can't get good FPS even at 0.5x resolution and Hogwarts Legacy is a lot newer so I think it'll be almost impossible. But I'll give it a try!

I only use it offline so it's perfect! I took it on a 30+ hour travel from Korea to Scotland and had a fantastic time playing games on it! The RP5 is mostly for emulation which is pretty much all offline anyway so you'll have a great time! Just make sure you've got all your games installed and ready to play before you leave!

Hi Ryan, thank you for all these videos. I am wondering if you wouldn't mind giving some guides on how to set up hotkeys in standalone emulators such as AetherSX2 or M64Plus FZ (for things like quick save, fast forward, etc). In Retroarch we can use the "hotkey enable" button so that we can re-use the same buttons that are used for controls. But I can't figure out how to do it in these standalone emulators.

Most standalone emulators have hotkey settings within the 'input settings'. It'll be different for each app. In AetherSX2 it's under 'controller settings' and then 'hotkeys'.

Would love to see a guide on how to setup Rail Shooters from the Wii. For instance Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, Darkside Chronicles, Dead Space Extraction, Target Terror, House of the Dead 2+3, to name a few. They are extremely finicky and getting the numerous controls from Dolphin's wii controls is confusing. I managed to sort of make the stick work as a pointer, but it's still not great. Would be cool to just use the touchscreen too. Is Kid Icarus Uprising from 3DS possible? Anyways, keep up the great work I'm pretty much watching all your videos from start to finish. Thanks!

Windwaker GC has HD textures packs that really make a big difference as well as a patch that adds a lot of qol improvements. Same can be said for Mario Sunshine/Mario sunburn. Edit: additionally there is a controller mod for Galaxy 1 and 2 to do away with that Wii mote crap. Edit again: looks like you knew the controller thing

How do you feel the ergonomics are after playing for a long time? I am debating between the rp5 and the Odin 2 mini. The ergonomics of the mini look a lot better especially for dual stick games. Odin 2 mini is more powerful too. However the OLED screen and battery life on the rp5 are better…

I like the ergonomics but I reckon the Mini would be better. I haven't tried one but the stick placed higher is definitely preferable for me. The screen on the RP5 is killer so it depends whether you want a better screen or a more powerful chip.

If u want to try more AAA games then please try out wreckfest as its really good and its feels like a beam ng game with good physics and destruction and for minecraft, u should try loading shaders and mods (like the physics mod) ive treid them both on my tab (which has the same specs as the rp5) and should work better

monster hunter 4 ultimate does not have issues emulating on pc while 3 ultimate has issues playing at higher fps when playing the game luckily there is 30fps cheats for both 3u and 4u so 3u can be played and if 4u struggles to get 60fps

That's the floating icon for controlling the console - not a line of dead pixels, don't worry! And it can be enabled or disabled anytime
