13:10 FYI Upgrading the Hatchet means, that you get a silver "Spare Change" despite buying the bronze Hatchet -> Net positive gold instead of neutral. So selling the bronze hatchet was a mistake. (Retro probably knows that, but in case you guys didn't, well - now you know)

Similarly, holding onto a bronze ATM means you can get a silver ATM with +2 income for just 4 more gold instead of 8. And yes, the +2 gets added onto the +1 you already had when you upgrade.

​@@konga382 Just to clarify, you only gain the income if you upgrade it by buying it from a shop. Using a level reward, upgrade hammer, event, or skill to upgrade it will not provide the bonus income.

Today I managed to pivot a terrible Yo-Yo, Pepper Spray, Weights start into a disgusting Silk, Shielded Hogwash, Belt, Forcefield one shot with One Shot One Kill, Tall Buildings, and Big Guns. I might not have been able to make that pivot if I hadn't seen you pivot so many times before. You're the best.

On day three, I stumbled onto a Shielded Pyg's Gym in Kev's shop, and got a build together ramping up Model Ship, Duct Tape, and Atlatl. Ended the run with 279 value on the Gym, super fun.

The devs should make something like a hall of fame for your past builds. You can select to out your past builds on the hall of fame and fight against your other great builds to see which one’s better. I keep watching your videos feeling that nothing could ever beat them!

Pro-tip: I like using the Truffles with the business card to skip thinking about micro-ing the card for a bit 😂 I can just leave the card on the truffles until I actually need the extra value in whatever high-value item I'm using atm! 😋

Your talk of not knowing what beats the board had me thinking of a feature they should add. There could be a top 5 boards (daily/weekly/patch). When you got to 10 wins, it would run your board against the top 5, if you could win against at least 3 of them, you would get in, and it could run some kind of total matching possibly to determine the order. Would be fun to give some fame to the top boards, and for all players to see just how crazy boards could get.

Mentioning the One-Shot being a counter, a few days ago I had a Langxian run where I got it to 4k damage, got glass cannon, and deadly crows nest. Having it hasted at the start meant that if you didnt stop me from using it in the first 2 seconds (freeze items permanently or something), you just died instantly, good luck surviving 32k damage every 2 seconds. Unfortunately, got the bug that, when exiting to main menu due to a visual bug, sent me back a few days. Back to the day I got Deadly on nest and Glass cannon from a level up. I got neither this time. The run died two days after without them. Yes, I am still salty about it.

If you look at the day 3 Extra fight you'll see that even though fiery cutlass and pyg's gym go off at the same time the cutlass strikes without the buff, from what I've seen from other people's videos this is because simultaneous triggers resolve left to right meaning that, if what I've heard is correct which I can't try as I don't have the game, having gym on the left of cutlass would have given it the buff and immediately used it dealing more damage overall EDIT: Nevermind, looking at the day 5 fight it's the same thing regardless of their order on the board, however it's worth point out that while the first attack doesn't inherit the buff the second one from the multicast does

I think I had a pyg build yesterday that might have had a shot against this. It was a spikey shield that fired off in 3s and crit 100% of time for ~20k damage. I high rolled some shield enchants early in the run, augmented defense, etc etc. All the shield things and it was nasty work. I'm not sure it would have been quite fast enough, but it would have been fun to see. Wish there was a way to archive builds and exhibition them against each other.

Maybe a Dam build could have beaten that, in a very remote scenario? Only Gym would have been left, so they'd need a set up that could Dam before Atlatl cooked them, in a low enough amount of casts that they dont insta die to Caltrops, and with a leftover Large Item fast enough to win before storm on its own

Since you were trying to come up with build that might beat this, it’s very narrow but I think fort + ice club (shielded) + iceberg + start of game freeze probably beats it. More procs from Atatl procs freeze equal multi bonks

Not a particularly easy build to get, but this could theoretically lose to Boulder + The Eclipse so the boulder procs off going to half HP. Give it crit from some combination like Crow's Nest, Vanessa's Amulet, gumballs, etc to make sure it breaks through the shield too

Am unsure how to balance but it'd be interesting if there existed a large item whose dmg started off very high (maybe nearly 100% of the opponent's health) and quickly went down as the match progressed with the inability to atk (or a veeery high cooldown) but text that says "The first time you reach half health deal this item's dmg to the enemy". As a partial counter to veeeery quick builds regardless of it they're dmg, fire or poison based. The faster they bring you down the bigger of a chunk of their own heath they'll lose with hopes your other items can take care of the remainder if it doesn't out-right kill them already through crits or enchants. While doing close to nothing on normal or slower grindy matchups so it remains a tech choice.

The Eclipse (use your other items when you use this, use this when you first fall below half HP) plus Boulder (deal damage equal to your enemy's HP, has 1 max ammo) would do this! Though you'd probably want to get 100% crit on the boulder too just to break through the additional shielding.

I cant think of a way to nerf pyg(besides nerfing the double value event that one is nasty) ,I do believe the natural state of his game is to scale to infinity on late game and that's just because most pyg items kind of add up in strenght over time. Any nerf on him would kill his midgame,this is just the first time the meta gets to see what pyg reaally is like,the win in the long run character Good luck for every character that cant win lategame they're gonna need it

i had a build that would have beaten this, it was instant glass cannon with the sniper 50% skill, it instantly dealt around 25k dmg, altough the funny thing is i didnt even get 10 wins with it, i lost to a pyg with 60k health and the big hammer

Caltrops is way to oppressive, definitely. I am hoping they're just leaving it on him the way it is while they figure out how to give him some more tools for success.
