I love Kid Dracula on the Castlevania Collection on the PS4 and it's translated as well. I need to jump back in and finish it. I like that it feels like a spoof of the Castlevania games and it so much fun. Einhander is great, played that on PS1 as I love shooters and need to revisit that game and very cool you found a physical copy for both that games at a great price. I really like the artwork for Famicom is great and so much better than the US carts in my opinion. I was surprised to see a Neo Geo CD copy of Metal Slug for such a high price. It's a great game but don't hate me for saying this but for me Contra is the king of run and gun games. 😋 It's always great to see the retro game stores in different countries that you go to. If you run into Scruffy Looking RGB, tell him that Ed from the Evercade Effect says hi. 😉

Yea Im satisfied with the pickups, but there were so much more I couldve bought. But I can always go back! Yea, that Metal Slug looked pretty much mint. And when games are like brand new, Japanese stores love to put the prices higher. Honestly, I'm a bit more of a Contra person as well I think haha! But MS games are incredible too. Most noteworthy being 3 complete copies of Harmful Park around around 3000 yen each. Now everything is just so overpriced, you'll never find anything decent for a good price. Still fun to browse though, cheers.

5:11 MGS 2 for 66000 ??? what's wrong with this people ? this is not even a touristy place, even super potato won't charge this much for this game hahahahaha
@tidalus8 ай бұрын
Crazy price indeed, though it's not the normal version but a a limited variant cover version given to Konami shareholders. The fact that it's factory sealed probably helped the price skyrocket.
@RetroMoments8 ай бұрын
Correct @tidalus! Limited edition and factory sealed. How many of those can you really find these days? Not many! Condition is always a huge part for stores in Japan when it comes to pricing!

OK it was nice fun vid, but you need to go slower and give PS3 games a look. You totally skipped the PS3 consoles shelf, it almost killed me
@RetroMoments8 ай бұрын
Glad you liked the video! Haha yea I havent really prioritized PS3 in Japan! I need to dig into what games were exclusive to the country first. So far I just know that I want to get Initial D for it!

Foreigners messing with japanese stuff making pricing go up for resellers................all this for 2-3 views.
@Yohann268 ай бұрын
by messing you mean "loving and preserving" ? I mean come one the guy made 100 views you think this horde of foreigners will all go to japan and buy everything ?
@NinjaChris778 ай бұрын
@@Yohann26 Sadly yes, ... and im not blaming him btw, i love watching these videos! But you cant ignore the fact that greedy westeners are already flooding ebay and local retro game stores with japanese consoles and games! I been in the scene for quite over 10 year now and i never seen this many japanese retrogames being sold in my country from normal ppl on the internet. For example, ppl been selling japanese Pokemon games complete in box for HUNDREDS here, even though we all know they are maybe like 10, 15, 30 bucks at most in a hard off, lol. Junk Gameboys, Junk DS consoles, ... seen it all here being fliped for dumb high prices compared to hard off prices! The carziest thing i have seen so far is a japanese Mario 64 in box being sold for 800usd in a local gamesstore with the hardoff price tag still on it, HAHA!! 600yen it was originally and it was a generic ass Mario 64 that you find tons of in Japan still.
@xTHETRAINx8 ай бұрын
this shit is so true but it's too late now, way too many videos and resellers now hoping to make a measly 500yen markup
@RetroMoments8 ай бұрын
@NinjaChris77 Yea you got some valid points here. And theres also a difference between a collector and a reseller. I bought 2 games from this store and not everything that was a good deal to flip. But I understand reseller will see this and go there... but like @xTHETRAINx said, its too late now. So many HARD OFF videos floating around on KZbin. And bigger youtubers promoting for Sendico "Hey, buy these Japanese games, theyre cheap!" Also. Akihabara and Game stores in Japan has been a tourist attraction for many years. Long before KZbin even was a thing.
