I have not really dived into my iMPC Pro yet, but my first impression - So Far, So Dope! Great work! You guys changed the game with this one... Although there will be a "Producer" on every corner now, I love how you guys are helping to democratize music with your products...I DO HAVE ONE WISH so far, a looping feature in the sample editor. It would be golden to be able to audition our samples as a loop also... and yeah I already left a great review for you guys in the App Store :) Cheers!!!

How do you delete a sequence? And I know you say in your test their is no latency issues but Im telling their is. When I have a complex drum patten going with alot non quantized drum patterns is like the loop drops beat and acts all weird. Plus last night when trying to press the pads on beat with my drum pattern I had created it would never sound right when I pressed the pad. It would be a tad bit late. Only after I stop the drum pattern I had recorded then would the sound play right when I pressed the pad. Lastly why is my ram always in the red? I have a iPad Air and it's always in the red. Could that be the reason the beats/ frame right is dropping? I love the app but man their is a lot of bugs right now its kinda hard to create.

When is the next update coming for fixing the trimming bug? Please tell me how long do i have to wait anymore for getting a functionable app. I am now not working anymore with iMPC pro because the trimmings of my own samples is gone after saving them. Can you tell a date? Or just the year ( this is a joke i made because i noticed three updates of audiobus this week (lol) and no one for the iMPC pro since it launched in app store ) And what is wrong with the sequencer in tabletop, it ignores loop and song mode and is doing what it wants after the update for iMPC pro ? And what about the input of iMPC pro when running in tabletop ? I have asked for so many times but i dont get an answer of you. Would be nice to get someday what was promised in the video clips. Best wishes Andreas Breitenreiter

Hi, Just bought your app - tested a demo track with AUFX Dub as an effect, recording into Garageband on my iPad2 and it worked perfectly. I love the app. But it still has lil bugs here and there, for instance, I get static clips on play back and when sequence loops and truncation. Core Midi is the standard protocol for IOS apps and IMPC "pro" does NOT support Core Midi. Retronyms instead chose to tether you to their in house Tabletop app which is quite limiting especially if you want to interface with hardware.
@andreasbreitenreiter10 жыл бұрын
Tabletop update is out a few day, but they can make the next now. First, the input of iMPC Pro is missing in tabletop. So theres no way to sample modular in tabletop, you have to use copy paste. Second, the sequencer is doing what it wants, does not recognice if i am in song or loop mode. Third thing is that i made a song, saved it and when i opened it a day later again, the two iMPC Pros i used in it were not anymore connected to the tabletop mixer... And there was no way to do it again, no showing of inputs in the mixer when i tried it. So i have erased the project before i get much more a gry about this. Tabletop is now not the thing to work seriously with, because it is now, after the update not stable, is doing what it wants ( sequencer) and is not saving correct the projects. The other thing is now, when i work with iMPC Pro in standalone modus and want to work then in tabletop, no sequence or sample is showing in tabletop, so i must take the choice to work all in tabletop or standalone. That is not the right way. It would be good to make a sequence in iMPC Pro standalone and then put it into tabletop to work again with the made stuff, but no way, the apps doesnt work together in that case. The last tabletop update made tabletop much bader in some way, no the iMPC Pro is in it but the sequencer really is a sh...I hope they will fix it soon. I really hope that.

Thanks for the reply, when you say 'quite well', what are the issues (if any) with an ipad2 compared to using it on a newer device? Just want to check before purchasing that I can run a few tracks and record directly into GarageBand without any glitches or crashes. Really great! Congrats on the release! I was interested to find 3d Perform. This is really cool. Definitely takes MPC to the next level. Is it intended for only new notes, like the note variation controls? It seems like perform would indicate that you can use the feature on pre-composed music. If it's only for pads being played, it's kind of hard to use because to hold the ipad in 3d space, and hold the filter trigger, and tap out the beats seems like a lot. Would it make sense to tap out a beat then pick up the ipad and wave it about while your beat loops? I think so. Can you expand a little on the use-case for 3D Perform? Seems like some really cool, next level dopeness. Also, is this something (the 3d perform features) that could be controlled by the midi-fighter 3D? This app is such a leap ahead of everything else. Great job!

What happen to being able to have one bar loops? The shortest loops you can have now is 2 bars. The reason why I create one bar loops is because I do all my drums with out quantization so I can get the swing locked in how I want it. Having to make my drum patterns for two bars with out quantization makes the likelihood of going off beat more. Please bring back one bar loops in a update. Also is there in latency issues with this first version of the app? When I hit the pads it doesn't seem as responsive as impc .I could be trippen but that's just my first impression. I'll mess with it more day when I get off work to really see what's good.
@RetronymsApps10 жыл бұрын
1 bar loops - noted! Thanks. I don't think it's less responsive, I did some measuring here and it was the same as iMPC. I do sometimes thing the brighter lights make it feel a little more latent :)

if i import the same sample into impc Pro that i imported into the old impc it sounds different... worse actually. As if somehow compressed. How can that be? Same Sample original impc sounds as the original, impc pro the sound is like compressed or amplified with some clipping (hard to describe...)
@RetronymsApps10 жыл бұрын

Retronyms Core midi is more than a popular request. It is an essential feature in any "pro" ios app. You seem to be pretty evasive in regards to this critical feature. Why is that? App looks good, but please update MPC Ren software, it's terrible as hell!

"Good suggestion. That's something we're considering. That seems to be a popular request" Enough with all the "possibly maybe" nonsense. Do you want this to be THE beatmaking app for IOS or not? Core Midi and Timestretch STAT.
