@RETRO OR DIE, Sometimes, a game that didn't sell well and is considered "rare," sold poorly because it was not a good game. Unfortunately, Psi Ops The Mindgate Conspiracy or Second Sight sold poorly despite being good games. As did Eternal Darkness on GC.

We both know that the high price of retro games doesn't stem from the quality of the game. It's totally cool to point out the flaws of these higher priced games. It really does have a it's perks and looks great for a ps2 game! But just looking at it shows the overall sluggishness. Good review man!

No argument from me but there are collectors who don’t want that info out there because it can lower the worth point. It is a ambitious game that had good ideas but just needed more work.

I had the same thoughts when I bought this game at launch: Very interesting, but so painfully slow that I never managed to beat it.

Beating it was a chore for sure. Fun game and cool ideas but ya slow and the difference in characters combat isn’t super varied.

Great Review! The art style of the game looks spot on for the setting, but I can already see the repetitive animations and slow pace in the footage you showed. I think this one is a pass for me for sure. Ps. I dig that synth-wave RE3 Save Room song you used for the background music

The art for the game is really good as well as the level design. Yes the games pace is very slow. I’ll break it down more in my aftermath video this week. RE synth music is the way to go.

I sold Rule of Rose together with this, at the time RoR was the rarest PS2 game. I did good on that, but only made $80 on Kuon. To date, it was my biggest loss. Having played it, though, it isnt worth a quarter of the new value collectors have strangely inflated it to. It's nice to have for the Japanese horror completionist, but it's too unimpressive to be in such high demand.

No way it’s definitely only rare due to the late release in the console lifespan and being a Japanese horror title I think put people off. It would have been much better suited for a anime or manga

@RETRO OR DIE, Being late console releases killed the sales of Covert Ops Nuclear Dawn and Delta Force Urban Warfare on PS1. I'd rather play Covert Ops, but Kuon would work for an anime. Maybe it'll get remasterd? Wasn't expecting Sony to add Resident Evil Director's Cut to Premium Plus. I don't got Premium and not all the classics have trophies either. Being able to play Syphon Filter on PS4 or PS5 is pretty cool though. Man I miss that franchise.

Too bad the game turned out like this , the visuals look great and the cloth physics look surprisingly great for a PS2 game . Great work on the review Retro .

Yeah it’s a pretty obscure title. Armor Core was awesome and the ps1 dungeon crawler they made looks cool. Thank you !

Thanks! Ya it deff was a let down after the first hour but Im happy I finally got around to playing it. I would keep your eyes open and hopefully one will go up online for cheaper than 800 soon.
