A better judge of the price is if they have the no more donations sign on the door / normally means they’re too expensive. Charity shops need to change those signs to 50% off signs and actually shift some stuff
@19hadley74Сағат бұрын
I see these signs outside every shop now, it's beyond a joke.
@gibbson130Сағат бұрын
they don't want to shift the stuff. Too much work, not enough volunteers and charities don't want to pay for staff. Easier to stick a small percentage of stock out as "vintage" with ebay+20% prices then the rest gets either sold by the kg to the "rag man" or trashed.

The AllSaints jeans can be repaired with a visible repair technique called sashiko. A small bit like that won't take long. Some new jeans are even sold with imitation sashiko.

I live in Southend and was in these Charity shops a few days ago. I picked up those trainers but didn't recognise the brand, now I know to keep an eye out!. The Project shops accept donations plus do house clearances. They support the local area and their prices are always very good. Love your videos, I'm a newbie reseller and learn so much from videos like these. 👍

Hey George, brilliant day at the office today… well done. My mum has volunteered at Australian Red Cross for 30 years, she does all the pricing for brick a bract but she told me that if an item of clothing has gone out without realising there is a whole they will come down in price. You probably could have asked for a discount on the black polo shirt but just remember that for next time 🎉

Just starting video. We do this. Go and visit cities/towns and have a day out and try and pay for the day with a bargain. Love it.

My favourite thing is going out for a nice breakfast with my girlfriend and then nipping to the couple of charity shops next door to pay for it plus profit!

I know where these are, I've searched a few of them myself and found some decent pieces, I love sourcing in new areas, you get that buzz walking into somewhere different, you just never know what you may find.

Great video - as a local to Southend it was very interesting to see some of the premium brands available in the shops - definitely a resident of either Thorpe Bay or Leigh-on-Sea who has donated those! If you ever need a quick bit of profit, let me know if you're selling that Arsenal jumper at 20:33... definitely something i'd buy !

Thank you for this one. Normally a warhammer seller....branching out into clothes. Picked up a camel wool coat made my lands ends. Needs a dry clean so 18.50 all in....let's see what I get.

George , I calculated your profit after buying costs and a 10% fee applied as approx £275. Great stuff, send me that belgian bun.

Great video as always! Whenever I take a day off work, I try and cover how much my salary would pay me for a day e.g by sourcing whilst out or extra listing in the days before, it means I end up with double. It’s gotten harder as my career has progressed but it’s still a fun challenge for me!

Great 👍🏼 video 🎥😊 It's nice to have a support network to help you repair 🪡🧵 clothing 🎉 It would be great if you could do a video 🎥 about clothes you have purchased and they need repairs and how you went about it. Keep is posted about the top your mum fixed and the Japanese jeans 👖 and how much they sold for.

Does reselling provide you with a privet pension?
@Crimemilkers20 сағат бұрын
Jobs give you like £20 a week if your lucky, thankfully self employed people learn how to money manage and they manage their own ‘private pension’
@an1_uk18 сағат бұрын
It does if you invest into a SIPPS. Unfortunately many people forget about such things as money now is more desirable to the average person than money later in a pension (until you actually need a pension).
