99.9% of modern Vauxhall cars have the battery permanent, and ignition live back to front, hence the red and yellow ISO wires on most after-market stereo's are pre installed with bullet connectors. Often they contain a loop connection so that you can wire them permanently live and rely on remembering to turn the stereo off manually. Also on a side note, the two ISO connectors have the locking tabs in slightly different positions, this aids connection for colour blindness and not blowing the stereo up 👍 Great video as usual mate 👍

i had the exact same problem with a citroen berlingo van, an alpine head unit and a connects2 module martin, it was my dad who pointed out the error i had made, he said swap them two wires back and voila!! the new lawn is looking good in the video

I had a couple of head units in my vectra, I think if you change a couple of wires on the unit before plugging into the loom it gets the unit powered up, apparently the vauxhalls are all" reverse "wired, that's what the tech that fitted mine said!

I think the valve you were on about in the HVAC system is called a purge valve. Check out South Main Auto's youtube channel. He's done a lot of vids on HVAC among many other great vids. Well worth a sub.

I just realized yesterday the silencer back box has a small hole in it on my Vectra C so I'll have to sort that before the mot in 4 - 8 weeks from now. May I ask why you decided to get a garage replace the back box instead of doing it yourself ?
