Somehow my local game store gives 70-80% value for trades. I think since they are the only LGS in the area their turnaround is very fast because each time I go in, a lot of stuff is gone (sometimes I go in only after a few days).
@angrybirdbob2881 Жыл бұрын
Is it actually 70-80% of value or do they just say that? Like I know a store near me that says they do 70% but then I watch them give $50 for a $400 game and laugh about it. Not saying your store is as bad as the one near me, but some people are just awful

Sometimes I feel like Rick says "a lot of this is going in my personal collection" just so that the seller feels like the price is more reasonable. Kinda like Caleb, Phoenix Resale, did with the "Gamecube Collection of his childhood dreams." Idk though. The difference is that Rick actually has a huge collection filled with stuff from years of collecting. Phoenix resale just did it for the money for awhile
@Miji43 Жыл бұрын
@@angrybirdbob2881 They are or at least were two different types of channels. Phoenix Resale is a resell youtube channel. Rick is more of a collecting channel but has more of the reseller components with the addition of his store.

@@Miji43 Rick always had reselling components. That’s why the $10 game challenge grew his channel so much. He was just more down to earth with collectors than Caleb has ever been. I like both channels don’t get me wrong, but Caleb has never felt apart of the actual collecting scene

@@angrybirdbob2881 I agree and it’s just two different approaches collecting vs reselling as the focus. Granted I’ve enjoyed watching phoenix’s channel grow over the years because I feel like he’s learned to enjoy collecting and gaming. Something he said he hasn’t done much in his past.
