Funny but I never remembered seeing this series on Greek television. Seven X did some reruns, ERT and later the Parliament's channel aired Blackadder but I think it's already 15 year ago

This was hilarious. Brilliant comic writing and acting. I'm feeling both astonished and fortunate to have come across this today, feels totally fresh. I thought I'd long since already seen all Rowan Atkinson's early productions, and all of them repeated at least thrice each.

Anyone wondering who the doctor is,. actor is the late and (frankly) brilliant Nigel Hawthorne, (Yes Minister and The Madness of King George). The dithering Reverent is actor Jim Broadbent (Only Fools & Horses).

He was also Racquel's first husband. A very fine villainous performance from Broadbent, who as you say is a prolific character actor with a great many excellent roles in his CV.

@@peterzotti6430 You might try the series 'Blackadder' if you want to see him at his speaking best. Hugh Laurie basically learned how to be a sarcastic SoB for the role on 'House' by working with him on this show. The first season is a bit dry, so I'd suggest trying one of the later ones first.
