This video is dedicated to the late Charles Snarsky for the tear down method shown here (link in description to his own video). Charles was very helpful with information and parts supporting my restoration. There is a tear-down guide with pictures on my website at www.retroworkshop.uk/sinclair-c5-restoration/sinclair-c5-restoration-part-2-vehicle-strip-down/

Thanks ever so much for the video series i was in the market for an electric bicycle to have a cruise around in the summer and JUST now found a cheap working c5 within an hour drive.

You make it look like a pretty ambitious project. I am fascinated by all these old battery-driven vehicles since I was alive when they were made but could not afford it. The C-5 Did not really see it in the US when it first came out. It would be fun to modernize one but keep the retro look.

I would raise up the handlebars and add a radio.

Excellent, one C5 is good. Two C5s is better! Enjoy.

@@RetroWorkshop thanks, interested in a throttle for the motor instead of the on/off switch.
@RetroWorkshop Жыл бұрын
Can’t help with that I’m afraid. You’d need a controller of some little circuit to covert an analogue throttle to on on/ off relay.

Where did you get the Sinclair vehicles sign from I need one in my garage!
@RetroWorkshop4 жыл бұрын
Glad you like the sign - I made it. I recreated the logo and had it printed on Foamex (foam board) by a local printer. it is then velcro'd to two horizontal wooden battens. If you email me via my website at retroworkshop.uk I will send you the logo.

Looking at all the parts I'm to scared I wouldn't get mine back together if I took it apart.

That’s exactly what I thought when I took it all apart!
