I grew up similar to Tony in that I watched movies that I shouldn't have been watching at a young age, probably even more so than Tony. We had HBO growing up and my parents used to tape literally every movie they could. So we had a whole wall of VHS tapes recorded from the HBO channel unedited. I also had a vcr in my room and would just grab random tapes off the wall and watch them in my room so I had little to no supervision on what I watched. So I first saw this film when I was probably 10 or 11? I didn't realize how different my viewing habits were until I got to high school. I introduced this movie to so many people and always love to see their reaction. Most fall in love with it.

Great episode as always! ROTLD is indeed a classic. My intro to it was via the theatrical one-sheet hanging on my cousin’s bedroom wall…absolutely terrified me! As for the humor in the film? I love the subtlety of it all. My favorite bit next to Ernie cutting off his pant leg is when Bert and Spider take the police car and crash it when getting to Casey and Chuck. Bert’s all “it’s alright, my car’s still out there” (BOOM) and Spider says “not anymore.” 😂😂😂😂

I know I'm in the minority here but I enjoyed Return Of The Living Dead 2 is just as much as the first movie. It doesn't have the same Punk flavour but it's still worth checking out for James Karen and Thom Mathews alone. Their banter is worth the price of admission alone. Was a teenager when this came out. A friend & I had time to kill before meeting up with our other friends at a small town carnival, were out walking around, tripping on blotter (!!!) and passed by the Stage 4 and saw the movie title ...we were big metal/horror people, knew nothing about the ROTLD, immediately decided we needed to see it, then ended up sitting through it twice (you could do that back in those days, plus theaters never carded us for R rated flicks) When we eventually met up with our buddies later that evening we went on & on about ROTLD, and all of us went and watched it the next day. So, yeah, def a movie that appeals to "partying" types.
