RETURN of the SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN & THE BIONIC WOMAN REUNION MOVIE!

Nine years after his retirement from the government, Colonel Steve Austin must again team up with Jaime Sommers to stop a terrorist group. Complicating matters for Austin are his estranged son Michael, who struggles for his father's acceptance as he graduates from flight school, and Jaime, who must cope with her and Steve's past. When Michael is severely injured in a crash, Steve must make the same decision about fitting him with bionics that he had to make with Jaime years ago after her accident.

I was in my 30s(?) when this bionic reunion movie, first aired on NBC, I look at some of the 'stock' scenes from other Universal TV shows, (Battlestar Galactica, B.J. & The Bear) that were used in this movie; I look at this now, and MAN, do I feel OLD! (P.S., Did they REALLY need to take out "Automatic") (The Pointer Sisters Top 40s pop 'single', that was a big hit, back in the day".)

It was a DAMN good movie! I actually STILL have my original VHS tape from that Sunday night in May of 1987. I believe it was the 17th. The tape CAN still be played. Minor wear to it. I'm never throwing it out. I have the movie on DVD from two different sources. If you don't like the life around you and the world around you, watch this movie and you'll be entertained by its creativity and genuineness. Two more films followed and they were great all the same. I don't think that anything beats this one. I was 16 when this aired. I'm still a kid at 53 now and a proud nerd in his own glory. Richard Anderson for years tried to bring Six Million Dollar Man to the big screen. I hope it happens with Mark Wahlberg. Would you like a really nice nod to Lee Majors in later years? The series in 2003 called Jake 2.0 has an episode with Lee in it called "Double Agent". His guest role teases deliciously that he's Steve Austin, a FORMER government agent with physiological modifications who's rogue. It's easy to tell from 21 years ago that the short lived series had loads of fun with this episode. LOADS. But here's to "The Return Of The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman"! It never gets old. Martin Landau (Space 1999) and William Campbell (Star Trek: The Original Series' "The Squire Of Gothos") appear in this film. Someone else? Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) has a brief appearance, as one of his first roles in his career. You need to be a die-hard fan to get what is in this movie. -Dr. Rudy Wells has a line where he brings up Max. Max was the bionic German Shepherd in The Bionic Woman series. -Jamie brings up Chris Williams who was a man she was close friends with who could have been a significant other for her when Steve was not around. -FORTRESS (the villain group) was indeed from "Six Mill", as the producers and executive staff called it. Lyle Stenning (the leader) WAS Martin Landau's 70s character. OK. This movie was made FOR THE FANS!! Here's to us. Who's like us? DAMN FEW!! (That better be shouted, too, for the sake of realness in this ambiguous, seriousness-lacking, and fallacy-riddden world we live in now!)

This is surprisingly good. I just turned it on for the heck of it to see what it might be like, and I've already seen a third of it. I know I watched most if not all of the first reunion movie, but I dont know about this. I do remember thinking at the time that the new bionic stuff looked silly. Production-wise it seems to be on the same level as both original series' except for the CRAP synthesizer music and Lindsay's hair style (she couldve worn a similar style to what she wore in her series).
