Perfect day in the JSB garage. wrench to ride all in one day . looks like the engine is a great fit for the wave raider. Perfect pace video for a pretty Sunday afternoon. As always, really appreciate the consistency of the Sunday video release. thanks

Good call on the spring. It would have had to come apart again. Just did a bendix on a tigershark 1000 and the use a bendix with more teeth for the flywheel. I used a traditional bendix and it wasn't engaging the flywheel. I was scratching my head for days🤣

Oh snap, @ 00:1:02 that's a legendary engine for the waveraider. Supposedly has better take off from stop than almost any other ski setup.

One time I was towing my kids I put my phone in the little compartment in front of the seat below the handle bars of my GTX, the compartment hatch door unlatched and my old phone fell in the drink. Since I got my new phone I carry it in a waterproof floating lanyard case I got off amazon. I use the speedo app, I also record clips and my phone still picks up sound (which I don’t understand but I’m not complaining) I can submerge the lanyard case and my phone stays dry while recording under water. The brand is called Cambond.

just a quick one,, if you care about that engine stop using starting fluid to start it,,,, the solvent washes away most if not all of of the oil in the bottom end and bores... leading to a cold seize this is worse on a reed motor as its atomised in to more droplets. stick to pre-mix in a bottle. i have seen this happen on 2 separate engines. love the videos btw keep on blastin.

I've come across a clean purple hull 94 raider with every riva part in the catalog. Usually I Ride a 61x/62t blaster with a factory limited pipe, ada head ect. My blaster rips, and is super reliable. would you recommend a 61x/62t FP pipe/head bigger bore and porting or going 1200 in the ski? The 701 is easy on fuel, and this ski is going to be an "inlaw" ski, but at the same time I'm paying for everything, so I want to be entertained, despite being barely entertained on my raider. IDK, what's your opinion?
@JetSkiBrothers4 жыл бұрын
I would go with the 1200 man. Unless you just want it to be simple and easy then stick with the 701 but the 1200 out perform the 701 no matter how much mods the 701 has

Hey guys! sent a msg over on your FB page... I'll just copy and paste it here... any feedback would be great! Hello I've been watching your youtube and stumbled on this video "return of the Widow Raider (1994 Yamaha waveraider)" ... I hit the part about the reverse jetting... and I was wondering if you had any guidance ... I picked up a raider 1100 that had been heavily modded...i can see it has forged pistons, SBN44's and riva racing head and intake.... I rebuilt the carbs this week and found reversed jetting....I'm a newb and never have tuned a ski...so is there anyhting I should change or just tune it normally?

Whats your opinion on 1100 wave venture. I'm looking at a package deal with a venture and a zxi 900 on a nice double trailer. Im trying to get my 3 cylinder on here, he's asking 2k. Thoughts and opinions please. Oh I can fix anything btw.
@JetSkiBrothers4 жыл бұрын
Only 5th scale I think that the wave venture is one of the most underrated skis ever made. We had one for a short period of time and didn’t realize what we had and ended up selling it off and been regretting it ever since. I have had my eye open for a wave venture for quite a while now. The Zxi 900 on the other hand is kind of a turd and I think it would be great to use the engine out of it to put into your searat build.

Birthdays Thursday, but anytime if you guys would let me pay to come ride a stand up for an hour or two? Being dead serious. ONLY THING I'm asking for, for my birthday. And I will pay too. If guys are interested let me know. Would love to meet you guys and learn some stuff too. Just miss riding. Only thing I'm asking anyone for for my birthday this week. 🙂 hope it can work. You got no idea that would make my YEAR! I'm only 20 min away from there.
