Back in the day we didn't have tutorials on the internet, in fact, i didn't even have internet. Just a computer and this video game as a gift from a friend. I spent an entirely summer playing until i finished it, it was so difficult. I remember those times with sweetness. The music of the game, how realistic the world seemed to me... This game has a special place in my heart.

I know this is an old video, but please pin this comment. The reason why so many fail at this lvl is because you shoot the water tower guy at a wrong angle. when you get to the left of the gate to the base, wait for him to round the water tower so he is directly infront of you, then "snoop" him. That way, the last guy wont be in an alerted state and auto fail the mission regardless you get in the truck or not.

good video. i love this level (after many fails and saves). I shoot the water tower guy before I ever come down the hill. Biggest mistake I kept making in the beginning was to kill the guard that lets the truck out of the compound lol.

The last guard that must not be killed always looks at my direction and he sounds the alarm, i don't remember having this problem back in the day. Maybe he witnessed one of my kills but if this is the case he should sound the alarm right then, not wait till he sees me from afar.

I remember having some issues with the last guard in the original but at least on my steam version this mission is impossible thanks to that guard always looking straight at me when I make the last run for the truck... I have tried it a good 10+ times now and I cannot get a break :

I don't know it is something related to me playing this game in modern hardware but every time I reach the section at 8:50 the guard by the tunnel entrance spots me every.single.time making me fail the mission. I can't reach the truck without the guard sounding the alarm, it is as if the AI has better "eyesight" than in this video.

ammo of mp40 shares among pistol and sten respectively. Besides, when you pick ammo, you do not get suddenly LESS ammo in total for no real reason.

-.- ...which, you can see at 00:44 IS the time when the total ammo was drawn off for the sake of adding to to clip, as it always draws the number of total ammo as the animation of reloading actually ends. He had 17 ammo in clip when a clip is total of 32, and out-of-nowhere 164 ammo in total after picking the *negative ammo*, which before had 174. So 32-17= 15; 164-15 = 149, ez math, simple logic. However, this doesn't explains the paranormal anomaly of negative ammo pickup that turns his total ammo from 174 to 164 (decreasing it by 10 ammo) for no real reason. Dude, I know my RTCW game pretty well.
