We watched every installment over the past week and said a prayer for you every day. I drove across Texas to SW Florida in January, many years ago. No snow, but it was COLD!!!! Like Adam, my drive was SoCal to SW Florida. Took Amtrak back to San Diego, best trip I ever took, just fabulous doing the country via train.

And it astounds me when we lose power up here how few people have generators. Although they are getting more popular. I highly recommend everyone owns a generator and has a way to connect to their home.

And it basically is except delivery truck haven be able to get goods to store until yesterday, so they are scrambling now. The only major part has been the roads. We take care of each other around here and are ready for a lot. (The news has over sensationalized it) It's one thing for this around here. It has been like over 100 years since anything "this bad" has hit Texas, so we aren't prepared for this, but not being prepared for something like this up there...DUMB. I'm you, I don't get it.

If you think that's the job of the government, YOU are the problem. Lack of forethought and planning on my part is not an emergency on the government's part. On the flipside, lack of forethought and planning on your part does not necessitate an emergency on my part (as a tax payer). By the way, the electrical crisis is because of the Democratic lead federal government green laws pushing windmills that can't produce electricity in this kind of weather. Long live the Republic!

As i commented in one of last weeks videos, I'm sure that series of vlogs will be one of the most memorable Adam has ever done. My biggest concern wasn't so much about Adams driving skills, but how easy it is to become a part of someone else's accident in those conditions. Luckily it all turned out fine and we are glad for that.

As a women who loves to decorate her house I'd watch you run your errands and buy furniture. If its within you're taste you could even hunt around for old Disney items from the hotels and parks they resale in your area. But that's just my cup of tea. I do love your road trips to small towns and theme park videos. Can't wait for you to be able to go back to Disneyland!

Glad you made it safe Adam Here’s a tip if you get caught out driving in bad weather If it’s almost freezing watch the spray coming off the vehicle tires ahead of you if the slush/spray disappears that means it turned freezing time to slow way down if you Don’t see spray coming off the tires also watch the vehicle taillights ahead of you they’ll get super clear /crisp when it goes freezing I use to not only drive 18 wheelers I trained for a while also 😉

This road trip was EPIC adam! I have watched many of them with you along the way and this one was amazing! My wife and i just spent the last 2.5 hours watching the whole thing and man could we relate with the horrible road conditions. We live in Extreme northern Illinois and the weather has been BRUTAL here with negative temps and we have over 2 feet of snow on the ground! Looking forward to the 40's this week and SMOWMELT!!! Thanks for taking us along.....it was great to spend an afternoon with the WOO!

glad you didnt get in a wreck, i almost slid out going 10 miles an hour on my street.luckily i have all wheel drive and could keep control and have traction control.had to sleep in my car a few nights cause of blackouts.still have no water tho

Winter tires and added weight in the back of the car would not have helped you going through texas. That was a northern-style blizzard they got hit with, and they are simply not prepared for things like that (understandably). The only thing that would've really helped your situation were ice chains and a spare 5 gal of fuel to get you to another town.

Except up here in the North, we typically have the mechanical infrastructure to go out repeatedly plowing and sanding throughout storms. Add that to freezing rain they got and it was a nightmare scenario to drive on.

So glad you are safe and sound!!! I did a winter cross country trek in January with my dad many years ago. We went from the South Bay Area, CA to Georgia. A snow storm had just hit. When we left Barstow, and crossed into Arizona we were in snow the rest of the trip. It was pretty grueling, even though we were equipped with snow chains and CB radios...

The worst was in the winter of 2010 back to back blizzards within a 7 day span..almost 4 feet of Snow combined but after being plowed out of my driveway my Suburban LT 1500 4 WD made it through the streets.They called it “SNOWMAGGEDON.”

We live in North Texas and it was bad here but I cannot imagine what it was like traveling through as you did. Ice is never fun to drive on and certainly not 500+ miles from El Paso to the LA/TX border...I'm glad you made it ok.

So happy you made it home to Florida safely. I was stuck in Houston at my daughter's for 4 days longer than intended because of the storm. Airline cancelled 3 of my flights, then I finally made it home. We were without power for 36 hours, but grateful we had water. I was happy to be there with her and she wasn't going through it alone.

So glad you made it home safe! My Dad and I watched your journey home. We wanted to make sure you made it. We actually pulled out an Atlas and kept track of where you were. It was fun. It almost felt like we experienced it with you. Thanks for sharing and sorry it was such a crazy trip.

Glad you made it home safe. My cousin has a beach house in Texas. Once the power and water came back on, they had 8 broken water pipes! That got fixed, now it’s sheet rock repair.
