My wife and I live in Midland, Texas (about an hour north of Fort Stockton) and were astounded to see you traversing the state in those conditions. We watched every installment over the past week and said a prayer for you every day. I've watched your vids forever and never commented before, but I just wanted to tell you that I'm glad you made it safely to Celebration. Cheers and best wishes.

@@goalie2998Thank you. It would be business as usual today had it not been the weekend. And it basically is except delivery truck haven be able to get goods to store until yesterday, so they are scrambling now. The only major part has been the roads. We take care of each other around here and are ready for a lot. (The news has over sensationalized it) It's one thing for this around here. It has been like over 100 years since anything "this bad" has hit Texas, so we aren't prepared for this, but not being prepared for something like this up there...DUMB. I'm you, I don't get it.

@@LAFan I agree, they don't take care of things the way they should, but not how you think. I am a grown man. I don't need the government to take care of me. I am not lazy. If you think that's the job of the government, YOU are the problem. Lack of forethought and planning on my part is not an emergency on the government's part. On the flipside, lack of forethought and planning on your part does not necessitate an emergency on my part (as a tax payer). By the way, the electrical crisis is because of the Democratic lead federal government green laws pushing windmills that can't produce electricity in this kind of weather. Long live the Republic!

As i commented in one of last weeks videos, I'm sure that series of vlogs will be one of the most memorable Adam has ever done. My biggest concern wasn't so much about Adams driving skills, but how easy it is to become a part of someone else's accident in those conditions. Luckily it all turned out fine and we are glad for that.

Winter tires and added weight in the back of the car would not have helped you going through texas. That was a northern-style blizzard they got hit with, and they are simply not prepared for things like that (understandably). The only thing that would've really helped your situation were ice chains and a spare 5 gal of fuel to get you to another town.

As a 6th generation Texan l have a new found respect for you that live in the northern part of our country. It was 1899 since we have seen colder temperatures. Looking forward to 100+ degree temperatures for months in a row.

The worst was in the winter of 2010 back to back blizzards within a 7 day span..almost 4 feet of Snow combined but after being plowed out of my driveway my Suburban LT 1500 4 WD made it through the streets. They called it “SNOWMAGGEDON.”

@@barryandrews723 I remember all too well....and the October surprise! I ran my car for 3 hours because the ice on the windshield was 8 inches thick and I was afraid I would crack the windshield trying to chisel away at it.

Adam - thank you for chronicling your cross country trip. In spite of the challenges you faced, it was genuinely riveting content. We live in North Texas and it was bad here but I cannot imagine what it was like traveling through as you did. Ice is never fun to drive on and certainly not 500+ miles from El Paso to the LA/TX border...I'm glad you made it ok.

So happy you made it home to Florida safely. I was stuck in Houston at my daughter's for 4 days longer than intended because of the storm. Airline cancelled 3 of my flights, then I finally made it home. We were without power for 36 hours, but grateful we had water. I was happy to be there with her and she wasn't going through it alone.

So glad you made it home safe! My Dad and I watched your journey home. We wanted to make sure you made it. We actually pulled out an Atlas and kept track of where you were. It was fun. It almost felt like we experienced it with you. Thanks for sharing and sorry it was such a crazy trip.

Glad you made it home safe. My cousin has a beach house in Texas. Once the power and water came back on, they had 8 broken water pipes! That got fixed, now it’s sheet rock repair.
