I’ve been waiting for this video to drop. I’m really enjoying following along on your journeys. I found you while researching the Centennial Trail but I subscribed for all the content. You’re so lucky your partner loves to backpack too! Also, I think I’m a dawdling journey hiker 😂

Hey Rob nice video, I was doing my thru hike at the time you were on trail, would have been great to run into you and Jeanelle, maybe next time.

Oh nice! Sorry we missed ya! Did you get it done?
@Mikehikes61 Жыл бұрын
I was able to get it done in 11 days, 1 nero and 1 zero in there. Such an amazing trail!! I have to get lighter and have been watching your hammock vids as I think I will be a hanger going forward. Enjoy your videos and the effort put in them. Thanks

So you are rolling with the BRS! Great choice. I watched your review of it earlier. Been using that stove for quite awhile with same Optimus windscreen. Love it and won’t switch up unless I’m going to be setting up a base camp. Good luck on the rest of your “journey” I’m in the same category. Keep up the awesome videos. 👍🏼

Yep! I’ve been using it exclusively for a few years. Works great. Thanks for watching!

It’s a shame the annual Open/Close dates for service areas aren’t better known. That is probably the biggest issue for CT 89. It’s such a gorgeous trail though-any day of the year. I used to be a destination hiker. Now that I’m older…🤣…I’m a journey hiker. Enjoyed the video, looking forward to Part 2. ❤

Those towns service & really rely on the ATV traffic. Memorial Day Weekend is when that ramps up for the season. Evidently, the towns follow that herd. Thanks for watching!

Genetics and age place me squarely into the "journey" category. Great effort by you both.

How does trail rank vs the other trails you have done? Seems like a nice, easy trail. Any long water carries and are hammocks an option?
@robpelton Жыл бұрын
I love the trail. It’s so different t to what I normally see. There can be some long water carry’s due to unreliable water sources. You’d have to monitor that just before you head out. Regarding hammocks, I think this trail is magnificent for hammocks. If I were solo or with my buds, I’d have a hammock 100%. Thanks for watching!

Are your videos all taken with your phone? And, if so, do you use an external mic?
@robpelton Жыл бұрын
Yep! iPhone 13 Pro Max. I use an external mic on some trips, but not on this one. Thanks John!
