I'm back in the Galloway National Park in Scotland for a very wet 3 Day Wild Camp with a good friend Josh. We came here 6 years ago to film the second video on my channel and decided to come back as a memoir of the trip.
The woodland surrounding this Loch is one of Scotlands last temperate rainforest and the weather came in true to it's name, extremely wet and even caused us to move camp multiple times due to flash flooding.

Hi Liam, excellent video, yes Scotland is a beautiful country to roam. Been all over Scotland from Glasgow to Nairn and a lot of places in between when our two were younger, now their adults Lou and I will definitely be revisiting. Rough wild camping in Scotland is best done with a Hammock, the 4x3 is the perfect size tarp and you gain the use of all the covered ground space under it, and well done highlighting the damage done by irresponsible ignorant fool's disrespecting nature. Oh and take a few bin liners for the wet tarp and other gear. All the best to you and yours mate.

A hammock is a definitive must for my next trip, especially in midge season haha! I really appreciate your kind words and hope that the responsible party see the advice and take it on the chin, unfortunately we loose too much access down to these things. Stay safe buddy 🙏

Loved this Liam, we had a really hard time processing our timber over this weekend too, soooo wet. Agree about dd pegs, the wind simply ripped them out so made longer stick ones and all was good. Lovely views bud, really enjoyed the video. 👍🏻🔥🤙

Awesome trip. Well done for keeping morale up in such conditions. Think I’ll be packing my ground setup and also the hammock for that potential situation for lakeside Scotland. Looking forward to the next video 🤙

Great video Liam. I see you were blessed with the liquid sunshine. I’ve always thought that anyone wanting to perfect their bushcraft skills should come up to Scotland and particularly the west coast. If you can thrive here with rain, damp ground, wet wood and midges then bush rafting further south would be a breeze 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Definitely a challenging one Liam & Josh 🌧 how many coats / jackets did you take liam 🙈 Good advice to the numpties that throw axes at a live tree 😤 i actually came across a bench today that had been screwed and nailed to a live tree 🤷‍♂️ 👏👏🤙👍

Only the one jacket so I was prioritising keeping it as dry as I could haha, luckily it only got soaked on the last night. Some people don't realise the damage they are doing when they do these things unfortunately. Really appreciate you watching!

Great video Liam I remember your video from Scotland a few years ago it was the video that I subbed to you. That was a cracking camp a shame for the amount of rain yous had. I'm gutted to see the trees that got damaged by idiots the right to roam is going to get took off us if that keeps up . Any way I can't believe you took a shaving kit with you as us Scots would say "on yersel lad" lol great video mate ATB. Sam
