This journal is a feast for the eyes! When you flipped it around to show all the danglies and charms and textures, I gasped, it was SO BEAUTIFUL. You put so much into each journal, it is understandable that you need a break, especially if you're working on custom journals and not able to get to your own concepts and ideas. Everyone needs to take time out for their own art and foraging! :-)

think about the reader (sorry... must have hit return). You should do a concept journal about a bookmaker, in her cottage, who saves silk, forages in the woods for beautiful flowers and leaves, and lovingly makes pages that are works of art. Thanks so much for your inspiration and the peace that I feel when I watch your videos. And... of course, you don't have to reply to this. I completely understand what it feels like to have things hanging over your head that begin to steal the joy from doing your art. Just bask in knowing that you make so many people happy with what you do.

Dear Jibid, you are such an inspiration to so many of us. We see the treasures you create and we forget the amount of effort and energy all of it requires. You make it seem effortless, but of course, it’s not. I am so glad that you are taking a step back to care for yourself and grateful that you’re able to do it in a way in which you can continue to inspire us. As a high school teacher who freely gives out my cell number to my students and their parents, I let them know that I don’t pick up school calls after 5 pm or on weekends/holidays, as I need to maintain a healthy balance in order to give my best to them all. In twenty years, I have had very few issues with folks not respecting my wishes. I think you’ll find most folks will respect your need for a healthy balance, as well. All the best!

I'm excited to see your other concept journals. I love your seaside and black forest ones the best. You've not done a Faerie one yet, I think, although you had bits of them in with the others. They would go well with bottle gardens, maybe. And I've always thought you should make a Lady in the Lake variety, since you live nearby.... I don't know.
