Returning To Eorzea | Taking A Breather From WoW

Saw this on my home page and clicked it and was very surprised by the quality of your video! :D Hope you have fun in eorzea for however long you decide to stay! Some advice though, even the old raids in ffxiv are actually still evergreen and you can do a lot of them basically how they were back in the day. Of course classes and jobs' playstyles have changed pretty drastically but for most content the mechanics of the fights itself are still all intact (even more so if you use the minimum item level setting and no echo buff). My raid group actually met doing one of the oldest raids in the game called Binding Coils of Bahamut. They're level 50 and can be accessed immediately after base game a realm reborn. Some of the fight designs are a bit archaic by modern standards but we all had a lot of fun progging it especially as new players back in the day. So if you'd just like to try some raiding content, there's plenty you can have fun with without having to trudge through hundreds of hours of msq story quests to unlock. But feel free to do whatever you feel is fun for you and hope you have a good time playing the game!

ffxiv is my first mmo and god is it a slow start but man...MAN does it get buckwild and super fun. its gonna take a while (it took me like 7-8 months to get to endwalker) but good luck and have fun! great vid btw!

Thanks so much! Oh yeah any people I've watched get into it over the years there is so much content it takes a WHILE but really excited to see it! Totally new mmo experience compared to the endgame grind and loving it!

Hey bro, i’m excited you’re taking the plunge. FFXIV is a wild MMO that has like a million side activities to do just like wow, every new expansion offers more activities. My main advice would be to do what you’re interested in. The first 50 levels are… rough, but if you make it to the heavensward expansion you’ve made it to the promise land. Also, unlike other MMO’s this one has a story that really matters, very much worth getting invested in but that too doesn’t get really immersive until heavensward. TLDR: if you are bored before lv50 try random activities the game offers, and if you feel like it, attempt to get invested in the story.

Loving it so far and thank you for the advice! Thanks to the xp buffs it's making those first levels a lot smoother so it's a game changer trying to settle into a new mmo. Will probably follow the MSQ as far as I can but besides work/responsibilities not gonna slow down anytime soon 😁

@@TheNaxm totally get that! I think of I didn't have an active raid group in WoW (breaking til TWW at least) I could say the same but I'm sure I'll heed the call 😂🫡

FYI, if you unlock ninja (rouge) you can Naruto run.

@@rybearyt make sure your in combat stance(weapons drawn) you also do a flip when you jump
