Greg returns to Vancouver Island after the 30 Day Survival Challenge with ‪@amosrodriguezsurvival‬ to search for his camera and the important footage it contains. He revisits the challenge locations and finds more adventures along the way, catching salmon, overnight hammock (stealth) camping, spotting wildlife, gold panning, relaxing with old friends, and more!
Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

Ha, yeah man, we know how he thinks! He does know how to fish., he just had no catch earlier in the challenge. I was looking forward to seeing the radishes. 😥, Ohh well, things don't always turn out the way you want them to., esp. Outdoors in the country. Trial and error, living off grid is a huge challenge in itself. Cool comment. NZ. ✌❤😁

Greg, this is, by far, my most FAVORITE video of yours!! I LOVE all the different aspects and settings that you took us along! My dad's a Professional Engineer that's taught all over the world and he and 2 of his friends encountered an animal in the 80's in Northern California that can only be described as a Bigfoot. He rarely talks about it but when he does, it's intriguing!!

Wow. we have a native larch, my dad's family here in Maine calls them hackmatack, Abenaki for snow shoe trees.(tamarack in Algonquin, also meaning snow shoe trees). I've frequently described the nice young red cones to people. One fall many years ago, I camped at a site that had tree plantings. I thought they were hackmatacks at a glance but looking back at my memories, the cones looked closer to yew.. I wonder now... They did look more like the inverted smooth drop shaped cupped cones you are showing us here. Hackmatack cones are a very similar, red but not cupped and more differentiated, as a close cluster of petals. Thanks Greg. Really enjoying your channel but I want you to watch me cast a fishing rod. My nerves are getting frayed wondering what is going to happen next with you, It's endearing watching you clumsily cast about but, my God man... ;0)

Greg, it might make a cool video series to pick out a spot for a 30 day adventure, but actually go several months before hand for a short trip with the goal to semi cultivate a spot and plant a variety of vegetables you can then harvest and eat during the 30 day challenge! Sort of a glamping adventure, where at least you can have a supply of vegetables each day so you can then concentrate more on hunting, trapping and fishing. I know having more food available might be less of a survival challenge but it would definitely be something different. 😁😁

I just had a BRILLIANT idea !!! For your next adventure, how about you and Amos come down and try to survive for 30 days living on the wicked, mean streets of Hollywood, CA. If you want to eat, you must catch it, find it growing in an alley, Dumpster Dive for it, and/or panhandle for it. ALSO, you are allowed to have a tent on the sidewalk, and fires (if there are no cops around) heck, everybody does.
