Hi this might be a city slicker question , so being in the bush lost, and camping by a road what kind of indication gives you the knowledge of it being on main road or cross road without signs and tire tracts? Would it be the road being bigger? Idk dumb city sliker

Granted it turned out to be a bad shock absorber rather than a wheel bearing , but I can’t believe that you actually went out to get fuel knowing that you had what you thought was a bad wheel bearing. Then you drove BACK IN THE BUSH .. Talk about setting yourself up for failure… I’m glad that everything worked out well for you. Thank you for sharing..

This episode was totally comedic. Gregs stress was palpable. He kept mentioning the word "lost" and each time he did his voice had an added element of frustration in its tone. His face would have been a picture when he saw his friend show up tho. I'd have liked to have seen that. Always the truth with ORMB, that's why I love the channel.

What I admire about this video most; No selective editing or obfuscation of reality; humility over pride and a consummate demonstration of the virtues of recognising that nobody is infallible; In a world, often, where mistakes and errors are stigmatised and perceived as ignominious, Greg demonstrates true integrity by embracing mistakes as a critical component to forging one’s continued pursuit of experience and success. Right on.

Quick story for ya Gregg, I wasn't that far from where you are I think and a buddy and me went day hiking, drove to the spot for camp, walked about 6ish miles (we think) on cutlines, and boom, lost. we had to spend the night by a tree with no food and little water. it got so bad we were drinking out of a tiny stream. It was scary I know the feeling all to well. long story short we found a logging road and walked out got a ride to our camp and went home, my buddy got the runs from the water but we were fine. Love the Video my dude as always. Keep them coming

Went hunting with my dad today in a forest we've never been to and we almost got lost on the backroads multiple times. Took a few wrong turns. If it wasn't for topping off our tank at the expensive last stop before going onto the wilderness (which we almost didn't do) and the odd bridge that stood out so much that I knew for sure it wasn't the road we came in on, we'd have been sleeping out there just like you tonight.

During the early days of gps navigation, my husband got one as a gift. We argued about using it to find this small town with good beef jerky. I like maps, don't trust technology much. Anyway, he didn't have an address, so he just entered "Main Street." As the roads got rougher & smaller, with nothing in sight, he became a little panicked. No phone service. I couldn't help saying "where is your technology god now, huh?" Almost got left on the side of the road. 🤣 Convinced him to backtrack (I sketched a map going) & found the highway. We used a map to find the jerky store.

@wlpmilkyway Жыл бұрын
I use to haul logs here in western Washington state, one thing that was universal to our logging roads around here is that if you're lost always follow the road numbers down. Meaning if your on the 9640 road go in one direction and see if the next road is the 9650 or 9630. Always drive downhill and pay attention to the road numbers, number get higher as you drive up the mountain
