I think that was my favorite day with DeeO. It had all the right elements - suspense, laughter, tragedy, and a happy ending! A story about the bond between a father and a son and how they overcame adversity together. Seriously, the moto community kicks ass, I love how supportive your dad is, and I'm sure there was a mental side of the events you endured that you had to put to rest to ride like you did. Now I just wish I was there to be part of the experience!

Thanks a ton man, that means a lot. If I had made the video about 30 minutes longer we could call it a feature film and you could write the Netflix description for it. The whole moto community is awesome, having a friend jump on my bike to try and start it so I didn't tire myself out right before the race and then all the high fives and fist bumps, it's so cool to be around. I hope you can make it for the next one, whenever that will be!

Huge congrats bro! Loved the footage and looked like a fun race. Also its crazy how much different the track looked from most of the weekends at Aztec, the amount of moisture to allow ruts like that is crazy on a usually dry track.

Do you use your clutch when coming out of corners can really tell in the video?

Not really, I usually use it in tight corners to keep the bike from dying, but I don't feather it like you do on a two stroke.

Your suspension looked like it did real good in those braking bumps in the second turn. Good line for the inside though it looks hairy on the line through the bumps. Nice racing. Aside from the silly jokes, just be smooth. Smooth is fast. Don't charge into the corner and miss the berm or rut as that's slow. Brake before the corner and then roll into it. Smoothly roll on the throttle and keep your leg up. The momentum of the bike will pull you through and around. Look ahead and keep your head up, rather than looking at your front tire. Just keep practicing and you'll be golden!

Once my kx450f is hot with the injection the fuel evaps more quickly and the spark is supressed, gapping slightly smaller on your plug will help for hot weather and racing second motos if you stall.

Hey DeeO, i was just wondering how the racing works in US, because in Australia you need an MA (Motorcycling Australia) licence to race any event or even to ride some tracks. And to get an MA licence you need to do atleast 3 hours of professional coaching and much more. Usually you can sort of cheat the coaching if the coach says your already good enough. But yeah is it any similar in US? because it seemed pretty easy to enter that event and you didn't seem to have to show any licence or anything

We have an AMA membership but you just buy it, you don't need a test or anything. To ride a road bike on the streets you have to take a special class and get your license, but not for riding dirtbike tracks.
