I set crab pots / traps overnight in a mangrove swamp in Northern Australia. I return to haul a massive catch of Giant Mud Crabs. With my catch of prized crabs I head to a nearby beach for a cook up. gday mate cant complain about that haul thats a lot of crabs running good for the future stocks i bet you jumped when that one touched your foot good video just remember to leave some for the missus this time 😅

Great video again mate. Wow those pots looked heavy after a night soaking. Had memories of grouper creek as a young fella cooking them over coals in a old drum conveniently left on the sand bank

Another great video Brad I never get tired of watching them, a thumbs up for the editing of the videos they flow nicely. I ran into your young fella at work the other day we had a pretty good chat about his boat and recent fishing trips. I must say he is a chip off the old block going by the photos he showed of some of his recent catches.

Too true, crabs definitely taste good cooked in sea water! I usually fish and crab either side of Townsville, between Airlie Beach and Mission Beach, depending on tides and weather. Cheers, Brad. 👍

There is some wonderful crabbing in the Burdekin region, offering endless kilometres of mangrove lined rivers. No, I don't bother soaking my baits - fresh is best! Cheers, Brad.👍

The different style of pots all seem to work equally well. I enjoy using Dillies as they are easily shifted to a new spot. Cheers!👍

Is that Alligator Creek or Crocodile creek in Townsville, that's where I use to crab when I was stationed there jn the RAAF.
