Mike and Carol and anyone who reads this and may understand, my English Bulldog passed away Aug 2023 and he was my little spoiled human. I loved him for the very antics English Bulldogs are all about. I will never get over him. I don't always comment but I watch Reuben religiously and he fills a tiny bit of the void I have that is worth the tears that fall at the same time. Your Reuben is the best 🐾❤🐾❤🐾❤🐾

Years ago I had a yellow lab that considered the loveseat in our living room to be her own personal bed. Every evening she would stare at whoever was sitting in it and then walk over to the back door and scratch it to be let out and once that person got up off the loveseat to go let her out, she would run and jump straight up on the loveseat and stretch out and get comfy. I miss that adorable little con artist 🥰🥰🥰

😂❤Reuben is a smart cookie. He wants his Dad next to him and he won't stop conspirering until he gets what he wants. He was easily consoled as soon as you went over. Gotta love it. I wonder what he would do if Carol joined you both on your baby boy chair.🤔 As I sit here next to my Hercules (English Bulldog), who barked and barked until I stopped what I was doing and sat with him and petted him to sleep. As you know they are so angelic ✨️ when sleeping, you can only smile and forget how devilish they can be to get what they want. Reuben your technic is phenomenal. ❤❤😊😇❤❤

This is definitely a bully thing - my 10 yr old bully Daisy hates it when I sit on the sofa w/ my spouse, when we’re talking or if she comes into my office whilst I’m at my desk (and Daisy under my desk lying in her bed) - she’ll literally get up and walk over to my spouse to distract her from talking to me - she literally does the same thing when my daughters enter “her office”… by far she is the most possessive of the 10 pups I’ve had over the last 30 yrs….

This was absolutely marvelous......Such great resilience shown by Reuben after Dad finally 'capitulated' and soothed poor Roo's pangs of anguish at being left to try to doze off on the chair all alone. Dad (and Mom Carole) it is truly hoped that you feel remorse and will remember to readily fulfill Reuben's desires- even before he realizes he has 'em. 🤨😊

I once read that Bulldogs are on the low end of the IQ scale compared to other dogs. Reuben and the 3 I’ve personally owned prove that theory wrong. I think it takes a genius of a dog to get their humans to provide them with specialized snacks, expensive human grade food, memory foam beds to sleep in, car rides, walks in the park and to be at their beck and call for whatever they want. In return, they give lots of love and make even more demands! At least that’s how my 3 lived out their lives and Reuben is equally smart enough to get exactly what he wants, too. Low IQ my rear end!😂

But what can I say Mike....he wuvs you!!!!!! He is what I would say, very codependent on your being near him and having control of your presence near him. Because? he is a dog/pet? Or he just plain, loves he Dad, his buddy, his friend. I cannot help but feel his emotions. My bulldog was the same way......They just plain, love their parent(s). We are their whole world. Maybe to, he could be a little spoiled, but that o.k. we did it to them, right. Because, we just plain love our pets. They are a big part of our family and world. Roo is so special! Love him to.
