Dean Gillian Lester welcomes former U.S. deputy secretary of state Antony J. Blinken ’88 back to campus during #Reunion2018 for a discussion about Columbia Law School, its areas of continuing excellence, and our shared ambitions for the future.
After graduating from Columbia Law, Blinken went on to serve as United States Deputy Secretary of State from 2015 to 2017 and Deputy National Security Advisor from 2013 to 2015 under President Barack Obama. He is now the Managing Director of the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, a contributing opinion writer for The New York Times, and a global affairs analyst for CNN.
