I'm so happy that I have the boxset of IT Crowd. It's so rewatchable and never gets any less funny. In fact, it still makes me laugh so hard though I've seen the series about 4 times. By the way, v5 isn't a series - it's a one-off special that was done a couple of years after the rest. I didn't find it funny. It just wasn't anywhere near as good as the previous episodes/series and it sounded like it had a laughter track on it. Just warning you, don't expect a proper series 5. Of course, your experience may be different to mine... I hope it is. :)

I think the problem was the canned laughter - in the original 4 series, there was a live studio audience and of course besides making the timing and laughter natural, the comedians play off the live atmosphere and the interaction with the audience. I found v5 excrutiating to be honest - I didn't finish watching it... I hope others enjoy it though.

Always cracks me up when people think their phones need to listen to them to give targeted ads, when they’ve given the apps and websites they use carte-blanche to build profiles on them. No need to listen in when they all share what ads and products you linger on, or cross-reference what your friends look up since you use their wifi etc, it’s all just data collection and algorithms feeding you millions of likely options until something sticks

20 year anniversary of the year you left? You've been gone longer than the time spent there, even if you're in the same campus from 5 to 15 or whatever. Thankfully all of my schools have either been torn down (asbestos), burned down (arson) or closed down (less than 90 children across all five years meant it was not feasible to keep open). At least those buildings are still standing, but I wouldn't want to go back in case I did recognise it.
