As a disabled wheelchair user, I find this probably the most divinely hilarious episode of all. People have occasionally said "Aren't you offended by the depiction of disability?" and then get awkward when I tell them it's probably one of the finest British comedy episodes. I have a wheely good sense of humour.

The sudden 'Moss-at-the bar' moment does it for me, not because it has the biggest belly laugh, but because it puts a cherry on top of the Jen-Roy wheelchair surrealism. I think Richard knows this too because he underplays it like a natural comedian would..

As a retired member of the IT Crowd, I can honestly say that I have worked with people just like Roy, Moss & Jen. I’ve responded to support calls by asking if they had tried turning their computers off and on again. Been shouted at by a user because her desktop computer won’t power on some days. I suspected that one or more of her colleagues was pranking her by unplugging it when she wasn’t looking (I never told her, all she ever knew was that I fixed it).

🤣 I ve seen it so many times, but it stays sooo funny. Moss also my favourite caracter. (Richard Ayouade) In the Netherlands we have toilet ladies, you have to pay a euro or 50 c, not just tip them. But they dont just sit/stand around. They clean the toilets in between and stock paper etc. They often work at shops, cafe´s and at nightclubs as well. I like it when I go out at night. People are drunk and thh toilets become so messy when the bar staff does a clean twice a night. This way you have clean facilities. A friend of mine did it at a (gay ;) ) rave, dressed up fun, put out some stuff like deodorant, mints, lollies etc and made a lot of money.

"Moss" costarred in the American movie with Ben Stiller which I think was called "The Watch". And by the way if you want fast talking American's go to New York City. I also figured out that the Spanish language requires fast talking, because they have to get twice as many syllables in each sentence. I wonder if toilet guys are there to discourage damaging the place. "The Standard" newspaper photo will show Roy as a gay guy all over the country. And at the end Roy has to ride in the gay van a really long way.

NO SPOILERS HERE BTW: There was no "one part" we wanted you to react to. This is actually one where we actually were looking forward to the entirety of the episode. I'm glad you paused it when "needed", since a lot can be missed of the comedic timings when not watching a whole scene through. But again, this comes down to the perfect pacing of the writing and directing of this episode. It slows down enough for any laugh to settle RIGHT before shooting a new one (like showing Moss as the bartender. That one gets me in stitches every time I watch it. As you mentioned, we KNOW it's coming, but the reveal is so perfectly timed that it get's you anyway). And during the last 6-7 minutes of the episode, the actors do a FANTASTIC job at conveying SO much by merely their eyes. You can tell exactly what they'd like to say. The writers in general / and directors should be highly praised for the amazing comedic timing they place. And the magic of making something completely mundane into something hilarious. Happy new year guys! You got the best of them to start of 2024 🙂 The next episode kills as well, so get yer jaw bone trained.

I lived in the US for 10 years. Early on, purchased a TV from American. I was told to drive around to the loading dock to collect. There was an older guy and a kid, 18 tops. I was chatting to the older guy and I could see the young guy in my peripheral vision staring at me, clearly wanting to interject. I turned to him and he said, word for word, "Are you from England)? I say "Yes" He says "Do you know Stuart"? In the background the older guy put his head between his hands!

I love this episode. It's my favorite one of my favorite show of all time. the first time my husband and I watched it we had to pause it because we were laughing so hard. Like you aren't done laughing at the last thing when they're onto the next funny thing and there's no reprieve at the end.

Three best ways to please your man: 1) Buy fruit, especially bananas. 2) Point at swans in your local park and wink suggestively. 3) wear comedy plastic reindeer antlers at all times and when your lover says your name, paw the ground with your foot as if you about to charge, but DON'T.

My fave episode, and your reaction did it justice. I hurt too, every time I watch it. And i REALLY hurt myself at the 'get drunk and give them $100' bit!!!!
