11:25 I grew up in Northern Alberta, and it is a really good idea to make a lot of noise to alert bears to your presence. Bears generally prefer to avoid humans. Making noise reduces the chance of sneaking up on or surprising a bear.

Saeki is ranked 2nd mainly by default. Because Volg is no longer a Japanese fighter in their rankings, and Sendo is now the Champion. Ippo went down in the rankings because he lost to Date and hasn't had a match in five months. Date also isn't counted in the Japanese National rankings anymore, as he's now fighting globally. Not to mention that Saeki may have had his own wins in the background that the anime doesn't show.

From what I understand about championship matches and rankings (not just in Boxing) the Rank 1 always gets the title shot and if he failed to beat the champion, he will be put at the bottom rank again and make his way up the rankings again. Correct me if I'm wrong,

Depends on the fighting organization. Majority don’t send you to the bottom of the rankings. You usually stay at your respective ranking until you lose to someone under you or until someone beats someone ranked above you (only if you aren’t the highest ranking, excluding champs). Or you lose rankings also if you dont remain active enough

Usually if you go inactive you do drop in rankings and Saeki up until that point only lost to Ippo. After Ippo lost and took his break, Saeki was still a top ranked boxer behind Sendo and Volg. Once Volg left Saeki became #2

Before you start with the second season with episode 77, you NEED to watch 2 OVAs. One is with Kimura and one is with Ippo. They are absolute bangers and they are canon. If you forget to watch them, you will get spoilered by the series of the outcomes.

Out of Ippos first season (these 70something episodes), it's hard to pin down which of Ippos fights are the closest outcome, almost all of them are way way close. You're right, if Sendo got back up Ippo might have lost. If Vorg beat Sendo, I'm certain he would beat Ippo in a rematch, but Ippo vs Sendo 2 is going to be another close match. This show exemplifies that everything happens for a reason.

@@gyver8448 "spoiling" was probably a strong word to use, that's my mistake. But they're still setting expectations for characters he's still getting to know. stuff like a major character's backstory would hit a lot harder if no one told him beforehand. let things come as a surprise, without knowing when *exactly* he's getting it. for what reason do first time watchers need to know the coach is getting a flashback during season 3's ending?? buddy's at episode 65 and we're already mentioning events 2 seasons later. that's kind of unnecessary, no? I aint saying that Lax won't be any less authentic if he knows (thank god), but i'd rather have it all come naturally to first timers without any pre-hype from others along with it. I mean just look at the surprise on his face when the Kimura/Aoki story came to light. I hope that's exactly what'll happen with the coach too.
