I never understood the hate this movie received. I saw it in the theaters in ‘93 and laughed all the way through. I’ve seen it so many times over the years and it still holds up. There are jokes all the way through, from start to finish. A deep dive classic.

Kathy Ireland is indeed a supermodel, one of the "Holy Quartet" of the 80s and 90s, alongside Cindy Crawford, Elle Macpherson, and Christie Brinkley. Of additional note, Christie Brinkley also had a role in a National Lampoon's movie, that being Vacation, and at 65-ish, she's _still_ doing Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues!

Eventually she went into business as an entrepreneur and has become the richest supermodel in the world - her personal holdings are over $500 million, and companies making sales of her licensed products make annual sales in the BILLIONS.

This is one of my favorite movies (along with Hotshots 2). It didn't rate very high, but the jokes are classic. Even their names, 'Colt' and 'Luger' (gun names). Like Colt saying "you came!!' and Lugee says 'that's personal' or when they show Whoopee Goldberg on the guerney and the guy says 'it's a bit out of focus'.
