I have a question about the bowl covers that you post to make. I have never used any of these types of covers. How do you go about cleaning these? I am going to make some for my craft items and supplies, that I have in containers. I need these types of covers, and these look like they are going to work good for covering the items. Thank You!! 🥰

Help please…I have an older Pfaff and it doesn’t have a running stitch nor does it have a reverse pattern foot. I have tried several settings of zigzag stitch length and width. I have stretched the elastic as I sew the curve and made sure the edge of the stitch is on the edge of the elastic. I cannot replicate the puckering achieved in this tutorial. Has anyone succeeded in using a standard zigzag stitch? BTW, I am using the Splash fabric used in the tutorial. Thanks in advance.

Elastic is not 100% cotton so I would not microwave. The laminated fabric may not be microwavable, either. But, these covers would be excellent to use in place of plastic wrap for storing leftovers or transporting dishes. I did hear Laura say "hand wash", though. Why is that?
